Fans are awful... Yes. they are.

They also spend an awful lot of money for the work they support. They also spend an awful lot of time advocating for their favorite products. In a nutshell, they are the kind of customers big companies awfully crave for.

And when you blatantly disapoint them, yes, they become awful.

Being called juvenile by OP is quite ironic. So, now Bioware Corp has become like a sensitive being, whose feelings might be hurt by the hard words of its fanbase ? Really, open you eyes : we are talking about a company here, about Public Relation Management, corporate communication.

It is time to wake up from this fantasy according to which video game designers are sort of friends who create games out of love for gaming and gamers. That is plain wrong. Video games designers are just big companies caring about their profit.

Which means we should act as customers toward those profit-seeking companies. Which includes protesting and requesting compensation when we feel the product we bought ended up not living up to what was promised.

Right, that free content that they didn't have to work on is such a burden on the wallet.

Your sarcasm is misplaced, I think the freebie is great and I greatly thank Bioware for it, it will allow me to judge for myself whether I re-open my wallet for them.

OP, if you're still actually reading this thread, not all of us are like that. I personally try to keep what I say constructive and civil. I answer questions when I can and know the answer and if anything I say is speculation or just my own opinion I try to make it obvious.

I really enjoy Bioware games. The ME series is one of the best I've played, although the ending of ME3 seems to come completely out of nowhere to me. I didn't see any foreshadowing at all, which is a good thing to have in an ending for any fiction, it lets people go back and think. 'Ahhh, that's what that means/leads to' when they go through it again.

I hope that the extended cut DLC clears up the whole 'coming from nowhere' part of it. I don't know how it can, but I'll wait and see. In the meantime, I'm going back to ME1 and ME2 and I'll be in MP most days.

No, we just don't like it when a massive company with the resources to make a decent ending, gives us a half assed plothole ridden mess and calls that an ending.

You used the term 'we' so will assume you are not referring to the royal term of 'we'. If you are angry at EA for what you believe as some fear, that EA interfered with Bioware's creative process then I'd prefer folks to say that.

I'm not sure because of the overall theme of threads and posts right now are saying Bioware sucks. Otherwise if the worst comes to the worst EA get's a scapegoat and gamers will be left celebrating how much better Black Ops 6 is compared to last years, that's not a prediction, that's just an educated guess based on what's happened so far.

If 'we' do not address the actual problem the actual problem is not going to get resolved, if in the case that either human ignorance or corporate greed, or both are to blame maybe we'd be better off chanting slogans outside G8 summits rather than blame hard working employees who have no choice in who buys their company or fans that would prefer civil discussions over MS Paint renders.

Well, by "We" I was actually refering to myself and my wife.

I'm giving Bioware the chance to cook up something decent. When that day comes, I'll then judge whether or not Bioware games will be worth a look-see in the future. But not before.

Once in a while, it pays to give a second chance. Bioware may actually pull a rabbit out of their hat this time around.

But as far as pre-orders go? Nada. I'll wait for user reviews before making a decision to buy.

Not story related. Let's avoid the meta-analysis of the user based and stick to discussions of the game, please.

QQ more, they can make more money when they make good games, rememb ME and ME2? They seriously boosted copy selling for this game. But for ME4/? there will be lower amount buyers

Besides, they sold their soul to EA
