You must not visit the W2 forums if you think that stopped people from trying to get them in.

You'll laugh just reading these threads. Gay Characters and Romance threads.

Oh man. Why do these ppl even have any interest in W2 knowing it's supposed to be an old school style RPG ? Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu*

You would think full party creation (that's confirmed right ?) would of kept their asses away.

I hope the developers have one ear open and one closed when it comes to some of the stuff that has been recommended. Even though I love the Fallout world, I can't help but say that Wasteland shouldn't be a sequel to Fallout. When I look at the forums, it seems like people would rather have Fallout: Van Buren than Wasteland.

As for the romance, seriously, why do the BSN people want to put it in EVERY game. I mean this is post-apocalyptic America not some dating sim. When the social barrier went down, I doubt that the first thing people were seeking was a gay romance with an elf or blue alien. If they put in any kind of sex, I'd want it to be a dark, unpleasant addition.

I would assume any sex would be either from prostitutes or quest related ie: in Fallout 1 you could have sex with a Raider to free a slave if your a chick.

I agree though there is absolutely no need for romances in Wasteland. I really can't stand having them in Bioware games but well I don't think we have to worry about it Fargo and team have said they will listen to the fans on what they should add but ultimately they will not divert from their vision.

Oh, come on. Being in the darkspawn-riddled Deep Roads didn't stop Maric from makin' sweet love to any female elves in his party. :P

Seriously though, I'm willing to bet not everyone who's funding Wasteland 2 is oldschool. :) Give the kids a break. They love Bioware romances, and it has to be kind of flattering that they think inXile could do just as well.

Wastland gave you a party to create, not just one character.  Well, romantic fanfic for your Wastland game WOULD be canon. Who's to say your rolled from scratch char didn't sleep in the same sleeping bag as Angela Deth?

I believe they call that 'jumping on the bandwagon'. As far as Wasteland 2, I'm definitely interested in how this game will turn out. Still working on finishing all the GoG games to get better 'educated' in the older-styled games. It's still something on my to-do list regardless. ME3 is over, now I need something else to hopelessly hunger for. :P

I just posted something on their forums about a character creator, and it just went downhill from there. One of the reasons why I never posted on the NMA board. Well, it started a whole argument because I said Fallout team and InXile are doing a good job. Seriously, those people seem to be very bitter about anything to do with Fallout.

But Bioware doesn't make decent romances. I feel their best romance was with Revan and Bastila and that's because it felt like it Han and Leia all emotions and none of the dry humping.

I recommended if they wanted romances they should write fan fic. Hey, with the full party creation system it could be canon...everyone wins!

So comparing to Fallout universe, how much Wasteland has similarity/difference with it?

Wasteland had a bit more humour, and the landscape was more green with variety, compared to Fallout that is. It isn't really full blown desert, and the combat system is more tactical team based type; although, it was text-based combat. The setting is way different too.

Even though I don't want it to follow everything Fallout, I don't know how they are going to make it purely based on the old game. For sure, the developers will look at Fallout for a guide since they are so open to allowing people from Fallout on their team. The inclusion of Chris Avellone, though, makes me think we will get a great mix of Fallout and Wasteland. If you are not interested in playing it, I'd say watch this live-play it is pretty good  .

Me, I'd rather see Fallout: Van Buren/Fallout: After New Vegas, but I definitely don't want it pushed onto a Wasteland project. If that happens, though, I wouldn't mind seeing as how it will take more than a pair of pliers to pull it from Bethesda's evil hands. Until Bethesda loses the rights, I guess I'm a Wasteland fan Image IPB!

Have you played Old World Blues? Probably the closest to Wasteland in terms of feel of all of the Fallout content, which it was a throwback too.

Why not play it right here! Wasteland and this is one of the best "guides} because it ONLY gives hints and not walk you through it.

I highly recommend people play it.

Thanks for the info, fellows.

@Jozape, I'm still at level 10, still very vulnerable. I should play more to become more powerful and capable of doing dlc missions.
