A compromise between A and B (closer to B) is just about right. I choose B though if fidelity is limited to these choices.  A is bit too much, C is far too little. Take my money either way.

BTW, since I'm a total Wasteland noob, and this appears the forum for it, are the Desert Rangers of Wasteland the same D.R.s the NCR Rangers allied with? Or is that left up to our imaginations to make an ambiguous connection.

Wasteland and Fallout aren't in the same universe and not related. Fallout was only inspired by Wasteland but good news though if you buy Wasteland 2 you also get Wasteland 1 but no idea if they plan to update the graphics or make it work on modern Window OS's out of the box.

I like the cartoony look. I hate the dull grey and greens of Fallout: 3, so I'm not in favor of the last, very tinted, picture. I guess I'd go for the one that is a little bit tinted, but I really like the bright colors.

They aren't going to update the graphics, they're probably just going to stick it in with an emulator so it can run on any Windows atm.

They can't do anything to the original game. Brian Fargo only owns the rights to the Wasteland IP, but it discludes the original which EA won't allow Fargo to mess with at all, I'm assuming.

Thanks for clearing all that up. To say that Wasteland influenced FO would not only be an understatement, but a rather dramatic one it seems.

I came into all this through FO3, and have an embarassing amount of time in New Vegas, so moving back to a modern game by the originator and chief influencer of these, is truly something I'm looking forward to.

Please, tell me you have played Fallout 1 and 2. Fallout 2 is amazing.

First piece of music in LA. Finally Mark Morgan is creating music for a post apocalyptic game why he wasn't on New Vegas team always bugged me.

Patrick E. McLean and his thoughts on writing for Wasteland 2.

First piece sounds awesome. It fits very well with dark LA atmosphere.

If this is anything like Fallout 2, I'll probably get an orgasm.

Well, now that you mention it, I just recently bought the FO1/FO2/Tactics pack off of Steam and will be working my way through them in short order.

Taken from a post at Inxile forums;

"Brian Fargo's "The Power of the Crowd" speech from Unite 2012 is now available online
on Unity's own website. He talks about the history of Interplay, videogaming business, working for publishers, how
crowdsourcing is changing the nature of the business. It runs about an hour long.

However, what might interest fans most is that at 30:10 he shows the product running inside the Unity engine, the same area as the screenshot but in motion, showing the camera zoom options and the models in their idle animations, and Mark Morgan's track over it. It runs about one minute."

InXile (the developer) has posted a very short in-game camera demo video on YouTube:

http://www.youtube.c...?v=_q3bk5os1eQ' class='bbc_url' title='Lien externe' rel='nofollow external'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_q3bk5os1eQ

From Wasteland 2, the game, of course.

I'm so used to seeing Next-Gen games being retrofied - it's interesting to see the complete opposite. That's pretty uncanny.

Wasteland Production Stuff

Looks like the project is on track. Mark Morgan has another great piece of music for us to listen to and there is some programming info for the people who understand.

Look at these portraits. <3
