i really dont like the gladiator type/skirt-ish design of it.
i hope bioware gives us cooler looking rogue armors like the Dark Brotherhood armor in Oblivion or similar design. noty that i want to compare.
anybody here who doesnt like the design of Rogue armors?

Armor overall in general, in particular mage robes, need more models, and different looks other then just color tint. Hunter's vests, chain and gamberson, or hoplite (grecian) look alike armor would have been nice as well.
The most dissapointing armor in terms of "looks" had to be Wade's drakeskin armor both the "regular" as well as the supierior model. One would have thought that those two would have been given a unique look that says "I am a cut above the rest". Ah well..

I agree, I don't mind starting out with that look but there should be more than Wade's on the top end. And for the record headgear for both rogues and mages are a letdown as well. :/

i would like a non-skirt, black/dark Rogue armor. a hood would be great too.

Light armor looks really cruddy. On women it's too skimpy to the point of being totally useless at protecting anything -- I'm looking at YOU in particular, Dalish armor! The colors are drab and the outfits look more like plastic than leather, and they lack detail.
I also wish there were more unique armor designs and fewer boring recolors, in general, especially for the special armors like the dragon/drake scale sets.
Oddly enough, I think the best-looking in both style and "realism" are the medium armors which probably hardly anyone wears past the early game. Chainmail, splint mail and dwarven armor look really good.

I LOVE the Rogue armor in this game I think it looks better than leather armor from any other game ever
If only they had it in black to fit the whole assassin thing though

The game would benefit greatly from a more diverse and visually appealing repertoire of armor/robes/weapons.

The studded leather type looks good to me. Good thing is, most high-level unique armors use this look (Wade's drakeskin and the Felon's coat)
The Dalish one looks ok on male characters. The duster leather armor and the default leather ("gladiator" armor as OP said), I'm not too fond of either.

Well, the only thing I really have against rogue armour is the amount of male thighs I've been exposed to because of it. Warriors don't get that treatment.

This is where modders come in. Add PANTS to the light armor (re-texture?) and you allready got a better looking armor. Give it a try.

Yeah, I don't really understand the whole "everyone is wearing a kilt" thing. Yes, there have been armors with PANTS! Rogues are usually thought to be like somewhat athletic and imagine someone doing frigging cartwheels in a rogue armor...flashy! But definetly more models...for consoles too!

The leather armors in this game took me a while to get used to and start to appreciate, while my perception of beauty utterly denied the mage heads.

Although the armours are nothing spectacular, on the whole, I actually don't mind the light armours. And actually LIKE the Dalish female armour. Not practical in the real world, I know, but in the real world I can't be invisible, turn into a mouse, or perform bardic magic either. Or summon animal familiars. So who cares?
Ugly armour = bone dragon plate. Yuck.
There are some very nice armour mods available atm. The Fade Armor and Black Templar in particular are very good.

I dont mind the leather armor. yes it could be better but it sbetter than most mage armor.
What i do hate are the Leather and Mage helms. Now they are ugly.

I like the Light Armour skins, there just aren't enough of them. Ditto with Robes. All the work and resources were put into Heavy Armours, I guess.
Eagerly awaiting mods that add more variety to my favourite classes and their armours.

I don't like the skirt-ish leather armor, it's bleh. I can barely stand the studded leather, but Felon's Coat is too good to not use. In general, the variation in armor design is pretty bland, though massive armor has some decent variations. (since it has so many unique sets)

My personal favorite armor by the look is the ancient elven chain. That and the dwarven one. Really sweet. The rest is always the same. I hate heavy chain 200%...

I agree with Korva, I think the Medium armours look very good. Last play through my rogue was using Silverite Scale Mail paired with the second version of Wade's Drakeskin gloves and boots. Looked nice and shiny. I had the Dragonbone version of the Scale Mail but preferred the look of the Silverite

Interesting that I like leather armors on male characters, but I think females look kinda odd in them. I prefer Chasind robes on mine. And as much as it pains me to skip the yummy stats and set completions hats never go on either

I kept hoping I would graduate from wearing a skirt at some point during the game, but it didn't happen. I eventually got used to it, but never really liked it. Half tempted to boost my strength just to be able to wear something better looking.

I'm planning on taking the medium armor meshes, creating some new textures and stating them up as new light armors as a mod. Not sure when I'll have time to though.
It would certainly be nice to see some new official armor styles in future DLC.

I agree completely! I don't even like the medium/heavy/massive helmets, and some of those aren't half bad. I'd probably pay $5 for DLC just to disable those dang helmets on my character/party members.

I don't like the leather collar thing at all. I think there should be way more variation in rogue armor period, appearance and stat boosting. It seems like there's way more warrior armor than rogue armor. But I loved the felon's coat.
Medium armor is pretty good, but I wanted to wear light armor. That silverite scale looks awesome though.

that's why rogues have to based on strength - they're just ugly in leather armors.
