Do you think that is the next step in the future of Mass Effect....
I sure hope not.

No. BioWare has an MMO; you don't divide your audience.
Or, in more classic terms, don't split the party.

I surely hope not. I wouldn't be buying it.

MMOs are the worst. Just stick to single-player games like you're good at, BioWare. You know, like your audience has grown up expecting of you?

Single player is dying anyway... PVE is boring.

I'm already concerned about the Elder Scrolls MMO. I play WoW, but I sense the era of the MMO has reached its peak already.

I hope not. MMOs are single-handedly the biggest resource, focus & manpower hogs of all video game genres. If a Mass Effect MMO comes out, you can kiss goodbye another single-player ME RPG for at least 5 years. No thanks.

After the ME3 ending outcry? I think they have buried this idea and planted a nuclear reactor on top of it so they can't dig it up again. Atleast I would like to say that if I didn't know EA wants to get every last cent out of it.

God no.
Almost all MMORPG's are utter fail now they've become nothing but reskinned WoW clones.
No thanks.

Let's see, if they said something like "it will take 4 to 5 years to start anew, to make some new stories, a new trilogy of Mass Effect.
But till there, here, have this ME MMO..."
ok, i take it.

the last time an MMORPG mass effect will not happen anytime soon because they have paid to use star wars franchise rights to create star wars: the old republic which is an MMORPG and the only one on the market in that segment. (200 million dollars if i recall it cost to make it)
Why in the world would bioware make a cheaper version of SWTOR (it will be considering no franchise deal would have been needed on it) that will only take away sales from themselves.
At best this will happen once the deal with George Lucas expires and for some reason do not pick up the franchising rights again.
Not forgetting that most Mass Effect fans are not MMO fans instead they prefer RPG games the only reason SWTOR got made is because there have been many star wars MMO's through the years and makes sense to offer these bases to continue there adventures in a new story and attract new people to the game as well.
ME will most likely stick to being an 3rd person shooter RPG and potentially a 1st person shooter spin off considering the ties the game already has with Battlefield and have been teasing at this notion.

I think it would be cool, but I'd much rather have another single player ME.

You've been looking at the wrong MMOs then, there's plenty of variety out there.

Show me an MMO that isn't an endgame grindfest.
