I don't know what you ppl are smoking but the Krogan ARE freakin tanks especially on gold. Just don't go around trying to kung fu your way to victory.

As a Krogan you can stand there and take the whole 3 shots from a geth prime and still have shields. You can take the banshee's energy ball thing and still have half your shield even after the DOT. Even a brute charge slash will only take your shield down to half.

Compare this to almost all other characters who's shield goes down to ZERO or even into health. If you don't think this makes your Krogan a tank in gold then you clearly haven't played gold enough.

I do not agree my krogan sentinel wrecks face against everything but geth. Mainly because the geth hunters have a stun lock fest on my krogan making killing him easy. The only thing Krogans need is some sheild buffs for gold and not be able to be stun locked by the mooks only the bosses and semi bosses. Only Phantoms, Brutes, Banshees, Atlases, and Geth Primes should be able to stagger a Krogan

Yeah, I've pretty much resorted to changing the enemy selection to cerberus so I can at least have fun with my Krogan.

I find the reapers genrally easier than cerebrus. Krogan don't really have any options for serious damage against the mech unless you equip the widow or have the level 5 AP mod on the pistol. and although phantom insta kills are a rarity for me they do happen once in a blue moon. not to mention that damned turret annd Guardians.

With the reapers i feel like a god. Incinerate aoe takes down ravagers/swarmers/brutes like nothing and is decent against banshee armor. Tech armor detonation takes down husk and makes meleeing cannibals and marauders a breeze in groups of up to 3.  

The only time i stop having fun is when in the last few waves of banshee spam i get stuck on cover or an object while trying to sprint away and she catches me  .

I've got my Krogan sentinel maxed for melee (and nades no incinerate) with a GPS (HCB/BA) and I headbut everything and actively seek out phantoms. With atlases I tend to get them to 75% armor left then move in for melee. (this is on silver) I also have a BW with me but that's just for mail slots. I also never explode my tech armor. Lastly, never turn and run from a banshee if your within instakill range, back away and keep shooting.

You have to take the whole 3 shots anyways because you can't roll away after the 1st hit stun wears off.

Brute and Banshee ball are more than half IINM, and Ravager still kills if you tank all 3 missiles.

Every class and build can work. Krogan have the best survivability in the game between Fortification, Tech Armor, and all that HP and Shield ridiculousness. If you give them extra weapon damage and a good shotgun they can hold pretty much any position except against grab-executes.

And yet none of this even comes close to making up for their extreme lack of mobility.  Give the krogan a slow version of the dodge move that salarians/quarians have and give the turian a slow version of the human roll.

Krogan health regeneration would also be cool but not necessary.  However, in the krogan's current state it is pretty lackluster compared to most other classes.

Lets not even talk about Krogans meleeing in gold. I'll be lucky if I can fire a full Carnifex clip as a DR maxed Krogan before losing your shields in cover...Most of the time. The amount of damage put out from gold mobs is ridiculous small wonder so many people are into cheesing because playing it normally is just as unfun but without the credits.

It' s not that Krogans suck on Gold or Silver. They' re actually quite great. When the melee actually works.

The main problem is the melee itself. It doesn't lock on to enemy properly and your charge/headbutt takes 2-3 seconds to complete, and in that time you' ll lose your shields and 2.5 bars of your health.

Yes! Meleeing in Gold. As far as I know it is possible to do with Krogan Sentinel, not sure about Soldier class. Ofcourse it' s all about positionin and catching enemies off-guard and sticking with your team or in close proximity to the group. If you got your rage, then you can take out healthy enemies in 2-3 charges.

I have had some succes with just in some recent games I've played, but really it's jsut about positioning and being lucky with melee charges.
