I love it...from the stacks of bodies on the citadel, we were supposed to "interpret" that everyone important survived. We were also supposed to interpret those supernova explosions when the mass relays exploded, that could be seen from far outside the galaxy as the cut scene shows, didn't really kill anyone - even though the most advanced ship in the galaxy, when racing away at top speed gets trashed.
Yeah, this is clearly our lack of imagination at work...
I've said it before and I'll say it again, they didn't fill in the blanks and it's their fault that we filled them in in the worst possible way.
Tell us why the wave knocks an admittedly-small-yet-definitely-powerful ship out of commission. Show us a wave that looks nothing like the Arrival wave. Hell, REMEMBER THAT LINE and hand wave it
IN THE SCENE. They had their chance to tell us why this is a happy ending, and they totally dropped the ball.
So as a result, the entire DLC ending will be explaining why there's
No Endor Holocaust. Instead of them telling us in the first place. I guarantee you, if they explained the wave as an EMP and the relays as 'breaking up instead of exploding' ... possibly with different animations, I haven't even seen them yet admittedly... there would barely even BE a RetakeME3 movement. We'd be 'oh? ... okay. Still a good game' like we were at DA2.
