Seriously. Bioware has done something totally unprecedented in changing (or at least expanding/modifying) the ending
I'm sorry but WHAT. Obvious and overused example : FALLOUT 3 ...
You sir / madam have now been taught that just because a news outlet says something does - not - mean - it - is - true.
Hahahaha, seriously? The Extended Cut is totally different from Broken Steel. Broken Steel was just the game going "Hey remember when we said you died? Kidding! Have fun playing the rest of the game!". Furthermore, Broken Steel didn't have NEARLY the kind of demand that ME3 did. Broken steel was released months after Fallout 3 shipped; Bethesda didn't literally drop everything to make it to please their fans. Furthermore, the problem (if there was one, I actually liked the ending of Fallout 3 sans Broken Steel) was just that the game stopped, not that there were serious logical flaws and thematic conflicts. It was just that you couldn't play the game anymore.
The speed with which the Retake movement grew, the fact that the extended cut is going to be more than just a series of cue cards with some text slapped on them, and the willingness to engage in a dialogue with the fans about the ending are all unprecedented. To say otherwise is just plain silly.
