I don't hear the Drell Reave noise on loop anymore. It stops once it goes off.
Content patch>Minor MP bugs
That is because you havent played with drells who dont intentionally make it loop -.- you would not believe how easy it is to get on perma loop :S all you need is a group of 5 or more. spam reave on them till the pitch goes higher, keep spamming, then if the pitch decreases before they die... congrats. you now have a good chance of getting the most annoying sound in the game loop nonstop.
Oh you mean when you tag like 10 guys with Reave and keep on doing it. Yeah but it doesn't exactly loop like it used to where I didn't even have to use Reave more than once for it to loop for the entire 30 mins on my speakers or my friend's speakers.
Now once it ends it ends from my experience at least. Unless you keep on casting it over and over again.
I wasn't aware of people that played 3 Drell adepts and spamming Reave lol, sounds like fun to me!
i actually went through the trouble to try it today to see if it worked, and yup, it still works. nothing has changed. Stil loops for the whole mission.

I might not be a game dev, but I do play a lot of MP games, and I know that none of them would have let something like the Reave sound bug sit for a month.

Would be nice if they at least would fix the reave sound bug, that sounds like an easy enough thing to fix.
It has already been fixed according to one of the Bioware posters and will be released in a future patch. I do not know why this would have to wait longer than one patch, but I'm not one of the people working on it.

Unfortunately, because they have to (or choose to) deploy these patches on consoles at roughly the same time as the PC, they have to sit around and twiddle their thumbs after finishing a patch while Microsoft goes through it with a fine-toothed comb to make sure it meets their standards before allowing it to go live.
Unless things have changed since the last time I heard about patch deployment policies, which I'd love to be proven wrong on.
This is correct. If they didn't keep the releases uniform and ensures consistency between platforms it would become a lot more difficult for them to troubleshoot future problems as things get more and more different.

It doesn't take long to get patches approved for consoles, only about a week. With Skyrim Bethesda would release patches on PC the same day they turned them in to Sony and MS for approval, usually took a week with Sony EU being a day or two before Sony US and MS.
The amount of time it takes to get approval is variable, there's no real way to say for certain how long the process takes.
Additionally, Skyrim is a single player game with no multiplayer component. The desire to keep the ME3 multiplayer across all gaming platforms identical is understandable.

problem is, we essentially are playing just the same glitchy buggy demo with the basics of multiplayer missing with just a few more maps, characters and guns. Game like that aint gonna last more than a year unless drastic changes are made.

Thats hardly a game breaking bug.
No game dev is gonna put out a $40,000 patch just to stop a bit of an annoying sound.
Plus, you have no idea how to fix something like that. It might be much more complicated than you might think.

i totally agree with you, but a simple fix would be that the sound effect is centered around the enemy you hit, not the drell who uses it.

But that might not be such a simple fix. Like i was saying before, none of us know how these things work.
Since theres a patch coming anyway, i think we can safetly assume that anything thats not been addressed was not ready in time.
Like i said before, if they could get everything fixed in one patch and save some money, im sure they would

They stated that they had a fix for the Reave sound bug nearly a month ago, so I don't understand why it wouldn't be in the patch. Still just doesn't compute...
I'd guess they want to fix everything all at once, but that's about the most feeble excuse I've heard for something like that. It's also the only one I could come up with...
I've also never seen any game company operate like that. You make fixes, you patch. You make fixes, you patch. You don't try to fix every single bug before patching. That's really not even possible. And the whole "it's a long involved process to get patches approved" thing certainly doesn't fly seeing as they are realeasing a patch Tuesday and could have easily implemeted a fix for the Reave bug they have stated they already had a month ago.
Really, it just doesn't compute. And I'm not even that upset about the Reave bug, so much as the complete joke of letting five weeks go by and doing nothing to fix the many MP bugs. And to boot they are releasing more content before a single MP patch. It's freaking bizarre.

I wouldn't say it's that bad, there are bugs in MP but it's very playable.
But it's definitely true that there certainly wasn't enough quality control. I may be wrong but wasn't ME3 the very fist Bioware game with a MP element? And they didn't run the game through beta?
I mean you don't have to be completely, galactically ridiculous with quality control like Blizzard is (where it takes 2 years to program a game and another 5 to QC it) but EA is a big corporation with solid profits, it shouldn't be cost cutting in the wrong places.

That may be your opinion, but in my opinion we are playing a very fun but flawed multiplayer mode.
I don't know why you are so concerned with where it will be in a year, a lot can change between now and then and your silly argument won't change that. The game as it is now functions and I'll enjoy a couple new maps, classes, and weapons more than I'd enjoy bug fixes. I personally couldn't care less where this game will be in a year, I'm more concerned with where it is now. I may or may not still be playing in a year so I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
Aside from that, I doubt the map designers and artists are working on this at the expense of those fixes.

The face code fix, was because of an immediate complaint during launch, so it was tied into fixes that prevent people from enjoying content.
The multiplayer fixes are indeed coming

Every patch day I'm paranoid they're going to nerf the Mattock, after they already amped it's damage up on TWO seperate occasions.

You will notice the patch is mainly to fix issues that were preventing some from playing the game at all. While the bugs in multiplayer might not be ideal, they are also not game breaking.

Can we have an ETA for when they are coming?
It is more or less impossible to use some weapons if you aren't the host (all those with specialized firing mechanisms), biotics bug out having no effect, the Vanguard bug that can effectively ruin a game when you're a tad unlucky and the horribly buggy store.
Not to mention all the other small bugs, like Bansees having some weird pathfinding that let's them jump straight through a wall, or their buggy OHK that can grab people halfway across the map, just to anem a few.
I know patching is a timeconsuming effort, but is there any guess you could make for when we might expect some fixes in those regards?

I'm sorry, but if you don't think the vangaurd "falling through the world" bug isn't game-breaking, then I think you need re-evaluate how you define the term.
To put it in buzzword terms, this issue, combined with the horrendous sound loop bug, is preventing me from enjoying content.

We were told they were "coming" over a month ago...
