Ok Sony is included in weekend events now so where is the BF3 soldier, and collector assault rifle, and in game resurgence packs? Hello? Bioware?

Even though I really want all of those things, lets not get ahead of ourselves yet; They only JUST got this sorted on PS3. The BF3 kit and Collector rifle may still be off limits for us, or they're just not ready to go on PS3 yet.

This is true.  I'd assume it's not as easy as just seeting a flag to "true".  If they do give us the kits and packs i'd also assume there'd be a good bit of back research to do on bioware/ea's part.

I'm also 110% interested in if this is going to open up to PS3 users. If the limitations were similar if not the same as the ones that prevented weekend missions, that limitation has been resolved. Day one BF3 purchaser, and while I couldn't get ME3 release, I got it witihin 2 weeks of release.

The fact that the PS3 still had any online users after all this is a testament to how much we crave the same gaming experience as 360 or PC players. Barring any overt console/platform exclusivity (aka Microsoft paying money to restrict content from PS3 or vice versa, PC only items) I think it is only fitting that we see the same kind of love that has been offered other players, especially given the huge hurdle that that we just got past with the the weekend missions. Keepin an eye on this thread, and will update if I have to in order to keep this issue fresh.

I've heard reports of it unlocking no problem for PC and 360 as recent as of last week. The issue for PS3 users is that the promotion was not/would not work due to the same reasons that prevented us from having the weekend missions. Since we now have weekend missions (we will see how well it went after this current one) there is hope that we will get the BF3 soldier and possibly other things that were intended to be multi platform.

I am beginning to see why they don't post on the forums. Redundant topics all concerning the same thing. Instead of bumping this topic they create a new one. God I wish people could use the search function.

Yea I pm'd Chris on Friday and I asked about the BF3 soldier and collectors assault rifle. He responded that older promotional offers would not be available on PS3. I think the stuff might come on PS3 as paid dlc later if it comes to the PS3 at all. To be honest the collectors assault rifle is **** anyway. It's as powerful as the Phaeston, with only 24 bullets in the clip, and weighs 4 times as much. The only difference between the BF3 soldier and the human soldier is that you have carnage instead of concussive shot. That could be useful though. We have the best stuff in the game already but it sucks to know that we were left out of things.

My friend has the collector rifle and we play on PS3.

The only way to get it, was to pre-order the game from EA Origin website. Even so, you can't get it past lvl I. At first, the site offered another pre-order weapon but they didn't mention it was for PC only. So to compensate for all the 360 and PS3 purchasers, they gave out the Collector Rifle.

But I really want that BF3 soldier... carnage? droooool

Um I messages him last Friday and posted the results a little up this page. Read the posts much? Chris said we aren't any older promotional offers on PS3 so Hopefully they will come out as dlc or they will start to put them in future spectres packs.Read the posts starscreamers.

Yeh Bioware's community coordinator Tully Ackland told me aswell that there were currently no plans to give us BF3 owners our BF3 Soldier skin for ME3 MP

I'm not too fussed about the Collector's Assault Rifle (I doubt we EU account people would be able to get it anyway), but i greatly am for the BF3 skin.

what really annoyed me was the fact that EA/Bioware failed to tell us PS3 users before launch. they only told us like 2 days after. they were advertising it on facebook, twitter everything. didnt say anything about not being on PS3 at the time :/
