BioWare, I purchased your game, and I am unwilling to play the game you produced, rather than spend my time to make sure I enjoy my purchase I would rather than you spend numerous amounts of hours developing a new mode for me to play in.  This way I can be subpar and continue to be the paragon of what gamers expect from developers.

I read between the lines and fixed your original post so that it reads correctly.

Complaining that bronze is too difficult is tantamount to whining that breathing is too difficult.

Your entire thread hence forth, and prior can be surmised in one sentence.

I'm whining someone give me attention and spend your time making my life easier.

Same can be said about the people whining that gold is too easy & demanding that Bioware release a Platinum difficulty.  Now you need to go tell them to STFU as well.

A harder mode? That's why I suggest the addition of Boss Characters into the game; a bit like Team Fortress 2.
Kai Leng attack on gold difficulty! Shoot him up, so he can run away some more!

Training mode would be nice if it would let you fight against specific monsters... an elaboration on the target practice thing in the Citadel. I doubt they'd go to the trouble of making something like that though.

BioWare can you please in a Update, Patch or DLC too add a Fun Mode, Training Mode Enjoyable mode something like that.  I just want a Multiplayer mode just to have fun, relax and enjoy. Not all-seriousness which Bronze, Silver and Gold are. I'm not a hardcore gamer either I play for fun usually sometimes serious. Okay I'm too not that great either Online.. It be nice to have a Enjoyable and Fun mode, also if you haven't played later. (Another thing Trolls F you go elsewhere. I know already.)

You think Bronze is "all-serious."  What.  :?

Quick lets all de-evolve and jump into the shallow end of the gene pool.  You want to regress rather than progress, you're pathetic to suggest that asking for increased difficulties that put the bar higher and further for the gaming community to reach for is equivalent to making the game easier.

Perhaps our next community event should be to have no one log on for the entire weekend.

I can understand saying Silver and Gold are hard, I still lose probably my majority of S/G matches.

But Bronze? Really? How can you even be that bad? Just, take some time to practice. I promise you'll be fine.

I paid Mass Effect to play and enjoy the game, we can't get a easier and enjoyable mode? Some of you have issues. They should have different modes and make everyone happy. It be unfair if others get more. I don't think most of you are understanding. It wouldn't effect you like what the other person said. It be a good idea, that what I think.

I want to and play Co-Op Solo also when I'm not in the mood to play with others, if I'm very rusty or I haven't been playing in awhile. I just don't understand why people think its a bad idea? Singleplayer is completely different than Multiplayer, Multiplayer isn't really MP it's Co-Op. Also I said No Trolling and some of you are Trolling. They should just have Easy for those and Advance Advance for those. That's all.

Very common misconception. You paid to play THEIR game the way THEY decide to make it. You paying doesn't give you the right to try and mold the game to your tastes.

IE play a game, if you like it, keep playing. If you don't like it, don't try to make them change it to suit your tastes since that can easily devalue the game for the targeted audience.

Sure some changes may not do that, but someone else made a good point, it means they might have to spend time and money that could be spent on enriching a larger base of user's enjoyment or improving the game as a whole.

If a game is too "hard" for me I don't look to make it easier, since I find challenge enjoyable. However if a game is far too easy, I don't demand they make a harder mode for me, I just deal with the game as is or go elsewhere. Pushes me away from many MMOs I might enjoy, but it is what it is.

Here's the problem: The people that want a harder mode are accepted.  The people that want an easier mode get nothing but crap as you can see in this thread. That's where this so-called "community" fails.  If a guy asks for an easier mode & you give him nothing but crap over it then I fully expect to see everybody giving crap to the ones begging for a Platinum or Diamond difficulty.

Then you and I have not played the same games. Most of the games I would like to play I get called an elitist, that it shouldn't be made harder, or whatnot. Some games are designed to be more casual and simple, some are not.

so you want a mode so easy you can solo it because you dont like playing co-op games with other people...... why not just play single player?

Problem: The multiplayer is too difficult for [certain players]
Solution: Improve your skills in singleplayer, then when you've honed them sufficiently you're ready to join in on multiplayer.

This has pretty much been the rule since the dawn of time. When I first tried out Gears Of War multiplayer? I sucked! Did I ask the opposing players "Oh please, go easy on me"? No. I went and played through the campaign, I learned how to play effectively, and then I went back to multiplayer.

The multiplayer in every game has always been the more difficult mode, and it requires you hone your skills in singleplayer first. Granted, most of these are PvP games, so there's no way to adjust the difficulty of opposing players, but the fact that we're playing bots shouldn't change the rule here. The rule is "If you're not good enough, get better."

Does the game scale base on number of players? Kind of annoying when 1-2 drop out of the game and you still get the same amount of enemies coming at you.

A training mode wouldn't be a bad idea actually. They could put in little tips that pop up at the bottom of your screen telling you that certain weapons and powers aren't good against certain enemy types. It could explain some good power combinations and how each class can support the team. It would also be a good way to get from lvl 1 to 5 so you have a couple points to spend.

However, what's stopping you from just loading those levels up in an SP save?

In the single player campaign it's always the same. The enemies come from the same place. Your goal is always in the same place. It's linear, you're always heading in the same direction. In MP the enemies have different spawn points, your objectices are always in different places, the high value targets spawn in different places.  You never know what's going to happen. You never know where that damned Phantom is going to show up. Solo in MP is totally different than solo in SP.  I don't understand why it's so hard for so many people to understand that.

MP isn't designed to be solod or around being solo'd. It is not balanced for being solo'd, and will not be balanced around solo play as it is not a solo game mode. This is why it's called Multiplayer.

And like I said above, it's still too hard for some people that aren't gods at video games. Your guns are worthless & your shields are a complete joke. Even on bronze, it's too hard for some people. There's no reason why there can't be an easier mode where your guns actually do damage & your shields don't go down in 2 hits. Maybe you & I would blow right through it but some other people would struggle with it. People that aren't good at video games shouldn't be alienated.  What if you get 4 people that suck at video games? They can choose this easier option. What's the harm in that??? Why would it be so terrible?

Why try to make it easier and not try to improve yourself and your gameplay, I'm sorry but if you think you need to be a hardcore no lifer to play this game effectively you are very very wrong.  Games like this are played for at least some degree of challenge, if you remove the challenge element then why even bother playing? There are plenty of other genre of games out there that target specfically the type of people you are talking about - why not play those instead of wanting the devs to turn this shooter into something it was never meant to be.

I have no problem with things like narritive mode in the single player, because combat in the single player is secondary in importance to the RPG story. But combat is the only thing there is to the online portion of the game, if you made it any easier then bronze you are essentially asking for a mode where it is impossible to fail and how is that remotely fun.. or even a game anymore?

When you buy a game, you should already know that there is at least some modicum of skill required - that is what seperates gaming from movies, books, and tv. Even board games require skill, that's the point of it. Do you go around complaining that Chess, Igo, monopoly or hungry hungry hippos is to difficult? No you practice, improve yourself and try to do better instead of asking for everything handed to you on a silver plate. If you don't think the game is enjoyable enough to bother practicing then the game simply is not for you and it is time to move on to something else.

I think that's a great idea! While I still prefer to play on Bronze (PRECISELY for the fact that it's a skill level where basically anything goes, and you can have teams like 4 melee Krogans running around headbutting EVERYTHING), having a mode that's even easier than Bronze to help players who are really new to get their bearings would be a good idea. Not everybody comes to the forums or scrutinises the Wiki to learn what are the best combinations of characters, weapons, tips and tricks when using your powers etc.

I've heard that more enemies spawn if the team is larger, but I haven't seen it proven. I normally don't have time to count in matches, be they solo or team.

You can do this already in bronze and its a joke to do.  You don't need to know the best or be the best to do something in bronze.  Frankly saying you need wiki to perform in bronze MP is stupid.... playing SP will teach you about the skills plenty enough so you can do "ok" in bronze.

Yeah there's a narrative mode in campaign.

They could do something below bronze, like copper?

I believe that the OP is politely asking about an MP rating for Casual SP players. I'd rate Bronze as SP Normal. I'd support her as many people are just playing MP for Galactic Readiness Rating and the impossible to get below 4000 EMS ending.

Just as I support the idea of platinum for those of you who want Nightmare +.

Really if you're that concerned over 4000 ems ending just play the SP completely its not difficult to get 4000 ems.  Go play a game like Valkyrie Profile w/o any guide and get the A ending then tell me getting 4000 ems is hard, ffs what next lets remake mario bros so you find the princess in the first castle?

Yeah, but playing SP doesnt teach you how to be effective in MP. Granted some people can just pick it up and play but not every one is like that. Some people need the extra help.
