He's a good character. Not at the top of my list of greatest, but still a good guy.

Garrus was written by John Dombrow in ME3. In case you want to leave any notes of appreciation.

Garrus and Wrex should have their own buddy cop sitcom. It would be the best thing ever.

That right there is tied for first with my dream FRIENDS based sitcom staring the Avengers for things I want in my life but will never get.

Garrus is your bro-character. Most games have one, he's just more developed since he has three games of being a bro. Sure he's a great character, but nothing special IMO. I think the best written ME character is Legion, probably the best in video gaming history. This whole synthetic vs. organic theme wouldn't be worth discussing without Legion. He has personality while being entirely logical, and is unintentionally funny.
Think I'd need to replay BG2 before saying anything about where on my list these people sit. That game had some phenomenal characters.

Top four.
1. HK-47
2. Tali.
3. Garrus
4. Mordin (Or Legion.)

Edit: All from Bioware games. There are some I could switch around for out of Bioware games, but that's neither here nor there.

Wrex was the best video game character to come out of Mass Effect but Garrus is certainly a great character.

And to the above guy, yeh I missed the bottle:)

My two favorite moments in Mass Effect were both in ME2. The first was meeting Garrus at the showdown with the mercs, I didn't read any spoilers and was thrilled to see who Archangel was.

My second was Wrex rushing me and greeting me as an old friend. Sadly he wasn't a squadmate in either game *booo* :(

Garrus and Tali are my favorite characters in any video game I ever played in my 18 years as a gamer. I can't decide who I like more.

I was very happy that they hooked up. Poor Garrus. Tali only used him for his manly body.

I seen them in the main battery during my Tali romance playthrough. I immediately stormed over there, thinking I was going to have to kick some turian backside. They were just talking, thank god I would've had to kill him if they were doing that.

I'm sure she was teasing him. Either way, he seemed okay with the arrangement. Tali does have quite the curves. Also, I have to say I called this relationship way back in ME1! It just took Bioware 5 years to catch up.

Wrex, Legion, Mording, Thane, Zaeed, Jack, Tali, Liara were all fantastic characters, But for me Garrus stands head and shoulders above them.

Nice foresight. I called it in ME3...and it was satisfying.

Garrus isn't even the best character in Mass Effect. That honor goes to Mordin.

(My opinion)

He really should be remembered in the Top 10. I don't know who else should be there with him, but Garrus really has proven to be the most popular character of Mass Effect. I personally want Tali in there, but I'm smart enough to realize only Garrus should have that honor.

Mordin, Mordin and more Mordin,

Garrus would be a close second though - Great writing, great voice acting and an overall awesome character. Every time I select him for a mission I go into a "terminator" mode, get goosebumps and then I die before I realize I can't run and gun on insanity...

All the ending threads should be turned into Mordin and Wrex threads.

I love Wrex. Mass Effect 3 reminded me why I loved that character in the first place (Mass Effect is very tiring for me to play)

Everyone is a fantastic character in which I'd love DLC to play with. They all have such interesting backgrounds.

Except Jacob. **** Jacob.

I'd recommend you give the Sentinel a go with a 70% damage resistence and if Javik is in the squad, and the proper passive and armor, a 70% shield regen rate.

You only need to watch for a small handful of enemies but I've been having more fun with this setup than my first with my Adept!

Check out this thread for our discussion on this rather fun Shepard build: social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/347/index/10782581

Edit: and I play on Insanity.

Well, aside from Garrus being my favorite.

Isn't anyone bothered by his lack of opinion? I mean, he'll always agree with whatever Shepard does. Ditch him in ME? In ME2 he's completely fine with it. Don't let him kill the guy in his loyalty mission? Fine. Tali commits suicide? Sadface but couldn't have done it the other way. Not recruit Kaidan in ME3? It would be nice to talk to him again but you had your reasons. etc etc. Is there any dialogue from Garrus where he actually disagrees with Shepard?

It really strikes me as odd as he seems to have less opinion than Fenris from DA2 who was an almost retarded brainwashed slave.

This and Wrex is probably third on my "favourite character" list. The writing for these characters is just amazing, whether you're their buddy or pursuing a romance. Sometimes I wish these characters were real, they bring the setting to life in such a way that immersion is taken to a new level. If only that level of quality could be applied to everything else..

Oh sweet Jeebus, insanity mode.

No, you can't run and gun, and you can't vanguard banshees apparently. I finished the game on insanity and I never thought I would do it. The last dang marauder...

Though on easier modes, I'm like you. I'm just a tank and will shoot everything as I pass.

What is your favorite type of Reaper?
