I remember that the first conversation with Tali in the Normandy (the one in which you invited her to your quarters) follows this pattern to an extent. Also, the first conversation with TIM in Mars does this, for example, when he says:

-Shepard, don't interfere with my plans. I won't warn you again.

If you chose paragon before he even says that (in the previous prompt), she will automatically say: 'Dully noted'.
However, if you chose renegade, she will automatically say: 'Go to hell!'

In both cases you do not get to select what she's going to say, and it's determined on what you chose a pair of phrases ago.

Interesting, thanks! These would definitely make a useful collection (especially as it relates to opening up different dialogue flow options with new breaks).

I've got couple dozen more collected, toward the end…adding when I have the chance.

Anyone want to pitch in? Maybe someone doing a Renegade playthrough, or making other decisions (you can probably figure out the path I took from the ones already up there)?

Even adding one or two would be helpful! :)

That we do! Thanks :)

I've got some more collected, but I'm trying to parcel them out with all the other threads I have to juggle…

If you support this idea, please give some bumps to get visibility! Even better if you can provide more content, but I'll take anything I can get :)

You really think BiowareEA is going to add Voice Acting throughout the entire game for an extended cut version? EA has never done that, and never will.

Sure they did. Lair Of The Shadow Broker? Arrival? DLC means more content, or at least it used to. If EA wants their name redeemed they had better do right by this fanbase. Their profits will suffer in subsequent releases if they do not.

They're 100% certainly going to have to add VA just for the clarification. Besides, I've only listed a few (optional) cases where actual additional dialogue would be nice. Most of the proposed changes are adjusting the dialogue wheels (and reusing existing simple lines for greetings, yes/no, and so on). :)

The thing that annoyed me most about that "oversight" in character control was that even though I always play nearly full on paragon characters, all of them have a breaking point where civility gets set aside and the anger slips through, and moments like this where The Indoctrinated Man makes a showy threat is definitely one of them. Even my most diplomatic versions of Shepard would like to say, "Go to Hell!", to that bloated windbag.

I think that in ME3 they tried to sort of achieve this with the Renegade interrupts. Despite the changes to the reputation system, many of us are still very leery of using them, though. Especially because that Evil Terminator look still exists (I mean WTH seriously), and conflicts visually – conceptually tenuously not – with the new idea that Renegade ≠ mean/evil.

So, yeah, I think that in many cases the wheel is the only answer…

(I've got like 7 or 8 pages full of stuff to add to the OP mainly from the start of the game but haven't had the chance to do so. Still hoping that someone'd help me out :)

I would love it if ME3 was like this but alas it will never happen, if they wanted this they would have put it in in the first place.I am afraid the sad truth is that this is the direction BioWare is taking and they will keep doing this, we will probably even have fewer dialogue options in the next games they make.

They do this to cater to players like jbadm04.Alright that's fine, but at least the full decisions option could be like what you suggested here then everyone would be happy but it has fewer options too because some people may wish to make important decisions but may not want to keep choosing stuff.Alright, also fine.But...Where is my classic RPG option? These are good suggestions OP, but I am afraid it's not going to happen :( .

It would be nice but the one thing that they should make non auto is the flirting with Vega.

You're probably right. I filed it more banter than actual flirting, and it fits my character, but maybe a more neutral option would be better. I haven't tried the ‘renegade’ choices, though. How abrupt are they?

That's why you'd need a new mode. Action | ‘Full Decisions’ | RPG.

If you pick Lola, femshep will flirt no matter what anytime vega flrits with you. If you pick Commander, Shepard will still flirt with Vega when he get's his tat. This is auto and you have no say whatever, even if you are in a romance.

Yeah that's what I said.I don't mind it as long as I have my classic RPG mode.I am afraid it's not going to happen for ME3, but perhaps it can happen for future BioWare games. If they choose to implement a dialogue option that is.Anyhow I fully support you.

I don't think there will be any voice acting in extended cut. I could be wrong though.

I've seen some gaming sites saying it won't have voice acting and it might not even feature shepard, that's a one way ticket to further disaster.
