I do like a number of the suggestions listed already. But there are some that I just have to stress.
For the Ending.
A Dialog option to tell the starkid to go to hell. To ram it down its virtual throat how utterly WRONG he is! Even if it doesn't do much for the story, a way to really stick it to the catalyst verbally would be very nice to those of us who so hated that ending.
I'd love for this option to lead to a 4th ending as well, I don't care how often it's said that's not going to happen, it's still the right thing to do and I'll still keep fighting for it regardless.
For the Rest of the Game.
The one conversation that I was really hoping for was the ability to really get into it with the virmire survivor. The way they resolved things in the game was just a bit pathetic really. You just kinda end up patching things up and moving on the instant you meet up again. That's annoying, it completely devalues the tension from them having abandoned you in ME2.
For some that's enough, many a forgiving shepard out there would be glad to move things along. But some of us were playing things a bit differently, and some of us felt that this betrayal ( to a lesser extent) should have been a bigger deal. At the end of Lair of the Shadowbroker you can tell Liara just how much that bothered you, but you can't ever seem to tell Ashley and Kaidan anything about it. I want to get the chance to yell at them, ask them why they refused to trust me when even garrus and tali had no problems joining up despite having even more reason not to trust me. Hell you got more of a resolution with Adams, even that was glossed over.
I picture this being a dialog tree that allows for a big arguement. Because I wouldn't want Kaidan or Ashley to just lay down and accept it either. I want them to state their reasons and defend them. And depending on the dialog options you can A) agree with them and appologize,

Agreed, and this one I actually have addressed (although not in a finalized form) in my ending thread – see signature, you might have some good input on that.

Agree here, too. ME2 is somewhat understandable, but after Mars the issue should be moot. I ended up leaving Kaidan on the Citadel, can't have someone who doesn't trust you.
The already-available ‘renegade’ options on the discussions are actually a bit better (sterner but less mean) than what their selection description says, although of course you will then end up leaving the VI behind. A longer clearing of the air with the option to take them along would definitely be nicer. I'll try formulate some reasonable addition for that part.
…
Does anyone have anything on Ashley for either category, by the way? I don't think I chose her on any of my Shepards, so it's always Kaidan for me.

Anyone with Ashley, or maybe Wreav? Or just more Renegade perspective?

dont get me wrong, most of what you wrote is actually pretty good, and seems reasonably easy to do, i just dont think BW/EA will adress it, unfortunately...
there is a bug with ken and gabby with them not speaking their lines unless you have ashley, fixing this seems relatively simple from a programming perspective, but a bioware employee stated that this is already a giant process (http://social.biowar...ndex/10147092/2), and my guess is, that right now, they have bigger fish to fry (i.e. ending dlc).
however i want to point out, i think that most of what youve written seems rather well thought through and bioware could learn a thing or two from this thread.
i never consided how much it bothered me, just to not have the wheel. i recently replayed me1 a few times to get a variety of chars ready for when they finally change something about the ending, and while playing i realized, that a lot of the lines are identical, no matter what you choose. BUT because you choose a different option on the wheel it seems to change the tone of what shepard says slightly.
i especially like the idea with emails from tali (appearantly she wrote legion, but not you? come on...).
EDIT: sorry, got your threads mixed up here; that last comment is on the LI improvements thread (http://social.biowar...ndex/11205698/1)

Oh, absolutely. Whatever's below “cautiously optimistic” is where I'm at  I think the main thing about the Ken & Gabby fix was that it implied that BioWare/EA have very specific patch processes – i.e. it'd be very hard to get this type of a fix included with the face import patch, for example. Instead, all gameplay-related fixes will be added into one big patch to be released at some point, perhaps in the ending DLC. The fix itself is trivial.
But, you know, gives me something to do, other than just join the 18 threads complaining about autodialogue but not doing anything about it. Hopefully someone over there is reading this and appreciates the help in getting it right rather than just complaining (as valid a complaint as it is).

Mm, and it's not like they don't know how to do it, or forgot. There was an active decision from above somewhere to add more autodialogue. I don't understand why, given that they already implemented two levels of dialogue. Would it have been so hard to have that third (or more realistically, have an actual ‘full decisions’ and then prune that to ‘important decisions’ and the action autodialogue)?

This is exactly right. The effect is subtle, but so, so important!

Hehe, I get mixed up sometimes myself – and of course all three of mine have some overlap

I don't see Bioware/EA actually doing this but honestly I would have this than a hundred ME3 DLC (besides the extended cut).

Certainly possible that this goes nowhere…still, I think there's a much higher possibility that they'll work on something that's already been detailed than just “autodialogue sux”
Once again, if anyone can give me any Renegade/Wreav/Pik/dead ME2 squaddies/Ashley, that'd be much appreciated…you can, for example, just go through the scenes I've already detailed to see if you recall anything differently.

I finally started another ME2 replay when it became apparent that a third play through ME3 just wasn't happening, and it's so, so very noticeable, even moreso than it was when I went ME->ME2->ME3 straight through earlier.

And I don't see how you could add much dialogue options that wouldn't change the game's ending.

Hmm, how do you mean? None of the additions (or breaks) I have really change anything so far as I can tell…they're just intended to give the player a better connection with the character. One of the grounding ideas is that even if we add a new option, its consequences would still be the same as one of the existing one's (unless BW wants to change that too).

Right, we don't really know what all it entails. Removing autodialogue would be a huge replayability increase for quite a few of us. Maybe someone will have the time/inclination to do it, maybe not. My thought is more that it's feasible to include this in the EC as a part of a complete package (similar to my LI suggestions).Navasha wrote...
I don't think you should be setting your expectations that the extended cut will add to the majority of the game. You are likely to get an extended ending, maybe more scenes at the end that answer questions... maybe an epilogue of the outcomes for various characters and races....
If it comes later in an enhancement pack or whatever, that's fine too
