My first and favourite warden was a Dalish elf too And yes, would love to have race selection back. It gave so much more oportunities to roleplay. With my every warden I had a differend point of wiew of Ferelden and people, both my companions and npc's. Or they could give us a dalish for our main character, imagine the rage on that xD "I don't wanna play as stupid knife ear, where is my stereotypical white male warrior!!!!"

Very unlike to happen seeing as Laidlaw confirmed that we're getting a voiced character again this time around. This means that unless they plan of having 6 different voices (at minimum and assuming we get 3 races to choose from) just for the main character, you're gonna be one race (very likely human). I don't care too much though, for me, what race I play is far down the list of priorities I have in terms of enjoying the game.

THQ did 7 different main voices for Saints Row the Third.  7 voices that had unique dialogue and reactions to almost every story element in the game.  Okay, the 7th was just a zombie voice, but they did it.  A subsidiary of a company that has almost no budget anymore (almost entirely because of the uDraw disaster).

I don't know why people keep acting like this is impossible.
