After my first playthrough when Zevran betrayed me, I decided to off him in my second playthrough.
In the Andraste's Ashes quest, I took the path of destroying the ashes to get the reaver class for one of my warriors, so I had to kill Leliana.
Have I just killed the only Rogues I had access to, thereby screwing myself out of every locked chest for the rest of the game?
I like to play the game with no prior knowledge of the outcome of the choices that I make, since I'm pretty much taking all the opposite paths of what I took in my first playthrough. So I've already killed Zevran, Leliana and now Wynne.

I thought it was supposed to be easier to be a jerk!!

he will not betray if you get his approval up by gifts or talking

You don't have to actually kill Leliana if you desecrate Andraste's Ashes. I don't remember the exact conversation options, but I think you can just lie by omission.

It is.

But being a jerk carries realistic consequences.

If you don't bring her with you, you don't even have to talk about it. She just talks about how great it would have been to see them. Wynn, on the other hand, will ditch you the instant you get back to camp.

On a slightly related topics, is anyone else curious about the party balance? The OP raises a good question, there are only 2 rogues which can both be perma killed by playing in an "evil" manner. Zevran, the assassin who, you know, tried to assassinate you can be killed right there and then, which i wouldn't call evil, more sensible. And Leliana who goes awol for pouring some blood into some old dust.

I'm honestly suprised there were only 2. Compared to the 6 (counting Dog as a warrior type) Warriors in the game, just seems a bit odd.

Allistair, Sten, Oghren, Shale, Dog (if you count him) is only 5. I havent got to Denerim yet, who is the 6th?

And bear in mind, there only seem to be 2 Mage NPCs too. Again caveat is that I'm only on 1st playthough and I havent gone to Denerim yet.

There are and for the DLC that can be played after the game ends I'm f'ed....Wynne is dead by my hand and Morrigan is heading out west. I'll be returning to Ostagar with no mages apparently.
