ARE PLAYERS ALLOWED TO  EXPRESS OPNIONS OR EVEN OBJECTIONS TOWARDS CONTROVERSIAL SOCIAL SUBJECT MATTER THAT MAY BE FOUND IN DRAGON AGE ORIGINS AND DRAGON AGE 2? (E.G. BISEXIUAL RELATIONSHIPS OPTIONS, ETC)

I'm just going to re-post what I posted in your other topic:

No, we're not going to let you decide the sexual orientation of your party members. The PC? Sure, knock yourself out - after all, it's -your- character, and whatever sexual orientation you want to make them is entirely your choice. Party members, though? Nope. Giving those who are uncomfortable with same-sex romances and relationships the tools to avoid them is not something we're going to do, as doing to suggests that there's something there for people to 'protect' themselves from, which we aren't going to validate.

I'm sorry that same-sex romance makes you uncomfortable, but welcome to the world. End of the day, regardless of someone's sexual orientation, we're all people, worth the same respect and dignity, and we're not going to help anyone draw that line in the sand. Full stop.

Just to add to what John said;

We do not and never have allowed the player to customize the content they're exposed to-- potentially objectionable or otherwise. The ratings advisories are there for a reason. If this is content that a player sees now more than they once did, that's just a sign of the times and not part of any agenda. Expect to see more of it, from BioWare as well as other companies.

It's a disingenuous argument, and one often cited by those campaigning against gay relationships-- attempting to compare them to pedophilia, bestiality or... I don't know. Marrying a building. The difference is that one involves a consenting relationship between adults and the others do not. That kind of spurious logic is not going to fly here, so please don't propogate it.

You know what's a really good way to get a vacation from the forums? Conflate homosexuality and pedophilia.

And I think this thread has reached the end of whatever useful life it may have once had.
