I didn't bring up child abuse,  I brought up pedosexuality which is a sexual orientation just like homosexuality.  

I don't think you should label pedosexuality a sexual orientation, just like homosexuality... A pedosexual is mentally ill. You can't say the same of a the average homosexual. Sounds pretty offending.

You don't seriously think pedosexuals wake up one day and say "I think I'll be attracted to kids.  That would be dandy." ??? 

Your ignorance is truly disturbing. Pedophilia is NOT about Sex for the predator. Its about Power and Control. Its a mental illness.

If we're going to be technical about it...

A pedophile is someone who is exclusively attracted to prepubescent. They have a mental illness. The majority of child molesters aren't pedophiles. They're able to have normal adult relationships but choose to sexually assault children. They're not mentally ill. They're sexual predators that targets children.

There are psychologists that refer to pedophilia as a sexual orientation but they use orientation to mean *any* long-term sexual preference that emerges during puberty. According to the DSM, however, it's a paraphilia.

You know what's a really good way to get a vacation from the forums? Conflate homosexuality and pedophilia.

And I think this thread has reached the end of whatever useful life it may have once had.
