Hi all, this is my first post, so please go easy on me...
I have a question about the gameplay.
I understand that this isn't a 'sandbox' game, but is it possible to 'grind' exp to gain level ups or are you only able to kill monsters which are in your way when doing a quest? Do the mobs respawn..
How does the level of monsters scale with your party? If I spent a couple hours grinding exp, would the game be too easy as a result, or would it scale to suit....
Thanks
p.s. my CE is on pre-order with game...can't wait now...

Not sure about scaling, but it seems like there are some random encounters. I came across a pack of wolves where I'd previously fought a group of bandits. So it looks like there may be respawning.

Monsters do not respawn to the extent that you can grind exp by killing 1,253,296 boars. In fact, I think there is no respawn at all.
Also, monsters are scaled to your lvl so the game remains challenging.

When you're on the map screen travelling between towns, sometimes you get stopped by enemies and have to fight. So you might be able to grind, I don't know how much though.
I don't know about the scaling, sorry.

My understanding is that there is limited scaling. For example a particular monster will be level 6-12. If you meet the monster when you are <6, he will be level 6 ... if you meet him when you are level 20, he will be level 12. To the best of my knowledge the only "respawn" occurs during overland travel (map location to map location). In this case it's a random encounter.
That said, you can explore a lot more of the map you are on than what is necessary to advance the quest which brought you to that map.
