 Title says it all. If you could switch out any of the ME squad for any already-established character, who would it be and why? Personally I would switch out Vega for Legion. We barely saw Legion in ME2, and he was a really interesting character. Vega just seems dumb in comparison.

I thought Vega was a good character.

I would have swapped him out with Jacob however, rather than Legion. They have fairly similar backgrounds and outlooks, only Vega is a lot more interesting and has better voice acting.

Javik was such a great character that I'm almost sorry he hasn't been in the series since ME1 or ME2, though it makes a lot more sense to have him appear in the final chapter.

Saren For Liara, Liara is the Shadow Broker. So she is too valuable of an asset to lose on the battle field.

I actually really miss Jack. It would be nice if you had a roster and it was up to you how you filled it. Like, 'go recruit your biotic', and then they would permanently be on your team, locking out the other options for that playthrough.

That would encourage multiple playthroughs!

All the other characters I love far too much to replace.

Thane for EDI or Liara. Reasons; obviously a Thane fan, and I almost always play as either an Infiltrator or Engineer, so I don't really need EDI (especially once Tali comes along). And Liara I just really wanted her to stay on board her SB ship. Love her, but that is still what I wished.

Would have been fun to have swappable (sure....it's a word <grin>) squaddies. Admittedly not so viable with resources, but would make one helluva game! Lots of replayability and being able to run with old favorites and still have a few new faces (if you so choose).

I need only two guys - Javik and Grunt = Invincible.

Though James Vega comes close to Grunt, he isn't as strong as the "perfect" Krogn super soldier.

And Javik = 50k years old Troll, that will troll you all day long. With Dark Channel he owns everything, even Saren would fall off his flying disc.

I would`t replace anyone from the squad though. I like the 7(8 with kaiden, but that's minority) characters they pick.
