No. Dude went to the moon and then was given lines in one of the greatest games ever made.

I am just disappointed that so many people ignored his lines.

Hey, whoa whoa, hey, whoa, hey... whoa...Posted Image
Firstly, hi again (it's-a-me!)!
Nextly, I respectfully disagree that ME3 is one of the best games ever made. In my opinion it is the end of a series that got progressively worse. Mind you, they aren't bad games (in fact ME1 is one of my all-time favorites, and ME2 has some of my all-time favorite characters in any medium), I just... disagree with you I guess. Posted Image
Lastly, you sure this ain't just hipsteryness (or something similar) eeking its way out?

On topic: No, I don't feel bad. I actually kinda liked that scene. Posted Image

Even though Buzz Aldrin went to the moon I think his appearance in the most soul-crushing ending of all time not to mention giving the most talentless performance of all time has destroyed his legacy forever.

It's funny, because if you think about it in the Mass Effect universe there are colonies, space stations and ships that could've been named after Buzz Aldrin in the Mass Effect universe. People like Neil Armstrong, Yuri Gagarin, and John Grissom all have stuff named after him. Now when it's the future and Mass Effect becomes real people will not remember Buzz Aldrin. They'll be so ashamed of his appearance in Mass Effect 3 that they'll choose to forget him.

Yeah, I feel sorry for Buzz Aldrin, anyone else?

Um...I think his reputation can certainly "withstand" this game. Just adding some perspective people.

I liked the bit with Buzz Aldrin because I was fine with his voice acting, not to mention it's mf'ing Buzz Aldrin.

And no, Buzz don't give a ****.

He was in transformers 3, he discredited all of nasa for the sake of a few bucks. He made his choice.

Out of all the things that bothered me about the end, that doesn't even register. It's a cutesy scene between grandpa and grandkid, nothing more.

Serves the old perv right, telling stories about hot space lesbian shower sex to his little "sweet". He is going to jail son.

Why would i feel sorry for Buzz? He got to walk on the freaking moon. How cool is that?

I feel sorry that his cameo sucked.

"And then The Shepard decided to ally with the machines, causing all the Quarians to die..."
"Grandpa, I don't like this story anymore..."
"... and his good friend Tali took off her mask and jumped off a cliff..."
"Shepard sounds like a mean person."
"... and Shepard shook hands with the Geth Prime, my sweet."

WAIT

Buzz Aldrin voiced grandpa????

Either way, I was hating on his role, not him. He can't exactly change his part in the game.

What was that old saying? "Don't kill the messenger?" Yeah, I'm just kinda feel sorry he got a crap part.

Buzz Aldrin should have replaced Chobot as the sexxxy reporter who suffers from bad voice acting.

I actually thought it was pretty cool to have him there. Sure, he may not be a great actor, but he's Buzz Aldrin. That's good enough in my book.

Props to the man for being in the story. Now let's hope Bioware can make an ending that he deserves to be a part of.

Wasn't there that Bio Amp company in ME1 called Aldrin Labs? PERSONALLY, I would much rather a company associated with biotic power be named after me than a useless planet that's sole attraction is  'Здесь ничего нет' (There is nothing here) written on the surface. Poor Viktor...

He landed on the moon and even spoke to Optimus Prime. That automatically makes him awesome for life, no matter how sucky his voice is in ME3, or how many people are tearing him apart for it. Whatever he did or will do in life cannot defame him.

If that had been the ending of ME3...I doubt anyone would have complained.

No. He got a paycheck, and is still getting one, and he's got a hell of a lot bigger story to tell than most of us do. Not to mention he's a nice guy.

The character is the one who's not awesome. Buzz Aldrin is, in a very definite way, very awesome. Not only has he been to the moon, but he punched that "there were no moon landings" conspiracy nutjob right in the the trumpet.

So, no, I don't feel sorry for Buzz Aldrin. I am completely in awe of Buzz Aldrin, however...
