This guy is a hero.

Yes, he played a bad tiny role in the horrible ending of my beloved Mass Effect series, but this man was on the moon. You can't currupt that with a minor bad part in a SciFi story.
Most likely he has even read that line from a script and didn't make it up himself.
And that's a good thing.

I salute to Buzz.

Why does Buzz Aldrin's voice acting suck? Because he doesn't need this so called "acting". He's been to space for real.

Hey, has anyone talking about the "my sweet" line come to the realization that the connotation of phrases changes over time and Buzz Aldrin is completely old-school and was kicking tail before half your parents were born?

He worked so hard to provide his talents to Mass Effect 3 but ended up failing so badly that he may go down as perhaps the worst voice actor in video game history surpassing even the voice acting in the original Resident Evil in it's awfulness.  Now everybody is being mean to him, especially over the part where he says "my sweet" and shredding him apart.

Please guys!  He's an old man and an American hero.  How can you say such mean things about him.  It's not his fault that he's talentless as a voice actor and that Bioware thought it would be neat to have a real astronaut provide a worthless role in a pointless post-credits epilogue scene that added absolutely nothing to the game and made him sound like a pedophile with the "my sweet" line.

You're talking about the guy who walked on the moon right? Seriously. If you are then, he should feel sorry for you for trying to feel sorry for him.

I don't think anyone really minded Buzz's scene all that much. It was all of the stuff between Shepard's elevator ride to the starchild and that far future scene that people hated.

Buzz played his part well. I don't blame him for that scene nor do I despise him for voicing the character. He's actually one of my heroes. He simply came on to be the special bonus at the end of a great space-themed game. Unfortunately, the writers weren't thinking straight and wrote a poor scene that wasn't worthy of Buzz's awesomeness.

Why are we even talking about this?
It's shameful to even consider.
You think Buzz Aldrin gives a rip what some nameless people on some game forum says about his VA?
He IS a legend.  Period.

I minded it quite a lot.  Not only does the starchild negate everything you've done, then you find out it is all just a fairy tale being told by an old man to his sweet?  Makes the series completely meaningless.

I saw it as an old man telling a kid history rather than a fairy tale.

If they wanted to portray it as history they should have had a classroom and a teacher.

Why would I feel sorry for him when he didn’t do anything wrong?

I personally didn’t have any issue with that final epilog scene since it could have taken place on any planet in the galaxy. So its very feasible that the legend of Shepard has spread across the galaxy.

People are mad at Buzz Aldrin? That's stupid. The man's like, 85.

So is Martin Sheen but he gave a great performance.  Age isn't an issue, it's just that Buzz Aldrin isn't an actor which is why he was so terrible.  Still, we shouldn't take it out on him, we should be mad at whomever thought it was a good idea to hire him as well as the writers who created such a worthless role for such a talentless actor to fullfill.

We should be supportive of Buzz Aldrin, he has been victimized by Bioware.

Martin Sheen is also a professional actor, let him try stepping into a space shuttle and he'd **** himself.

Buzz Aldrin was the best part of the whole ending. It was awesome,  finding out, HOLY S@#T!, THAT WAS BUZZ ALDRIN? AWESOME! While that part seemed odd in terms of story and cannon what on and what have you, it wasn't any worse then the rest of ending, and we're talking about Buzz Aldrin, one of only a handful of people to actually have walked on the moon, and he was number two on that list. Whatever you feel about his acting, who cares, he walked on the damn moon. If the part that bothers you most about the ending is Buzz Aldrin.... well, I can't help you.

I feel sorry for Veggiesofmanycolors, apparently he walks on eggshells all the days of his life, worried of how everyone on the planet is feeling. A dozen times a day he asks his dog how he is feeling, if he is getting enough food and if he would like to go out and play, his goldfish two dozen times a day.

The character is the one who's not awesome. Buzz Aldrin is, in a very definite way, very awesome. Not only has he been to the moon, but he punched that "there were no moon landings" conspiracy nutjob right in the the trumpet.

So, no, I don't feel sorry for Buzz Aldrin. I am completely in awe of Buzz Aldrin, however...

Exactly. The guy goes into space and punches obnoxious reporters. He's like the real-life Shepard.

I actually saw someone call him a "Senile old coot" and some other rather rude things on this forum.
To those that did: I hope someone else hits you with the same lack of respect when you're his age.
