so i just beat the ogre in the tower,
i was supposed to get the mabari hound after that battle,
but the whole village gets slaughtered,

does anyone know if you can get the hound before the battle? because i think i remember the guy saying i had to wait til after the fight. but now the village is wiped out.

i guess i will go back and see if the hound is still there right now.

i really wanted a mabari hound!

It's a random encounter after killing the ogre. After talking to Flemeth leave her hut for Lothering and it should trigger then, otherwise something's gone wrong. Have you got the flower the hound keeper needed to cure the dog?

do you have any mods installed ? a QA guy said the other day that mods conflicts with events you should get the dog right before you enter Lothering if you did nt well you are bugged , few days ago i had mods installed and my starfang meteorite never triggered in an entire game even if i spent 2 hours only doing travels between towns in case i would get it , in the game i started after that one i did nt get it for a while deactivated my mods and 30 mins later the metorite triggered , so like the QA dude said mods do bug events

I played a dalish elf - I got the dog. And yes it's a random encounter AFTER Ostagar.

Basically. For all the origins except Human Noble, you cure the dog. You defeat the Ogre, you leave Flemeth´s hut and you get a random encounter with the dog and he´s yours. Providing you didn´t kill him or didn´t cure him, of course.

"random" only that it's not in a mapped area^^ But it's very NOT random since it's questscripted to happen then and there^^

After Ostagar *If You muzzlend AND gave flower and didn't tell handler to go sodomize himself* otw to Lothering *atleast if ye tell Morrigan to lead the way* You get the encounter where the dog comes... ^^

No need to ask Morrigan to lead the way. And yes, not really random as it's scripted to happen once you leave Flemeth Hut's area.

People always need confirmation from five others before they believe you on the internet. :wizard:

Not necessarilly a bug. You have to muzzle it first, alot of people forget that part.

Got that bug too. If you don't get the dog after you leave Flemeth's hut, you'll have to reload. Fortunately, the game autosaves just when you're about to leave the hut, so keep reloading until you get it.

Worked for me, at least.

You get Dog on the way to Lothering if you got the plants and gave them to the Handler.
