I've got 3 I can think of:
1) batarian squadmate.  it would be nice to get some more insight into batarian culture, they're barely in the me3 plot as is, and itd be nice to have a new facemodel for a batarian.  (Also someone for javik to 4 eyes with)

2) Randal Ezno.  Dude from ME:Infiltrator.  It'd be cool to have a cerberus guy on your squad for perspective on all that cerberus stuff going on, his story kind of had an open ended leadin as if they might use him for dlc, plus he'd be like Kasumi with Biotics, a win-win.  (And maybe he'd have better voice acting!)  

3) Jack.  because jack is awesome.  'nuff said.  (also having an me2 character that wasnt in me1 might be cool)

Yeh its the only rom on the Normandy that doe not get used in some manor. All the other rooms are at least used to show other crew member talking to each other and so on.  I for one would like to see maybe a new Krogan squad mate (maybe female) or Randel from the Mass Effect  Infiltrator IPO game. As he does defect to the Alliance anyway.

Tazzik, Spectre, Batarian (s/he will always question you), Aria, or Zaeed. I mean out of all the cameo ME2 squadmates, they didn't even bother writing him out of Shepard's squad. He just stands on the Citadel for no reason.

Did anyone else think BW made that room empty to get some fan's hopes up to balance our prediction he will die?

Blasto, definately. Batarians are kind of boring. Aria maybe, after Omega? So Liara can get jealous and cry while i hit on her.

That's entirely possible, since they leave things open to speculation for possible future content and all that.

However, this is the "no spoilers" forum.
