Just read here:

Pax East 2012 Bioware and Mass Effect 3 Panel Part 2: Extended Cut DLC

Producer Mike Gamble: "
We wanted to clarify a number of things. That we actually answer the questions. We are all on Twitter, Facebook. We have the community team feed us the questions that you guys have. We want to give more closure, answer questions, fill in some of the unknowns, give the players a sense of personalization with the endings, many people mentioned that some of the choices that were within the game are not necessarily reflected in the ending scenes, we're definitely going to focus on things like that, we want to make sure that when you see the ending of Mass Effect you now have the information in the context to feel satisfied. "

THANKS BIOWARE for listening to us!!! We love you!!!

Please post here to support Bioware!!! <3<3<3

I support, you're probably going to be trampled with people complaining that this isn't good enough but if they can have 10 trillion complaint threads surely we can have one praise thread.

Thank you Bioware for taking the time and effort. I very much so look forward to more ME3 closure. Very excited. Image IPB

With all the feedback they are getting they probably know what the fans want by now and can make something really epic

Damn OP, don't be obsequious. To be clear, they are not changing the ending. They are clarifying. Maybe the outcome from the three colors will better reflect your choices. I hope that is true.

We know the god-child is still there as well as the choices. Caveat emptor.

You know, there's one particular quote from that whole thing that REALLY bothers me.

Mike: Really we couldn't have included it in the game because we didn't know there was such a huge demand for it.

Ummm.... WHAT? You honestly didn't know people would want closure on all the things they fell in love with over the coarse of three games?!

I really don't know what to say.

EDIT: I would like to point out that I have supported Bioware through this whole ordeal. There was a minor incident that occured not too long ago that caused me to waiver, but I recovered. But that quote right there...

You are thanking them for something that should have been before the game was ever released?!

How about we wait and see how it goes, then thank them if they pull it off. It is wonderful that they are doing this but they have yet to earn thanks.

An extended cut is less-than-ideal to me, but it still helps plenty.

So thank you Bioware.

"Mike: No, no new endings, but we want to provide closure."

Ride off into the sunset with AI kid.

Have fun. I sure wont fall face first into a pile of poo and be grateful.

Oh, and just to point out, it seems by the transcript that the audience was screened ahead of time. Their reactions were not to be expected from the fans that have been posting on here. Quite the opposite actually.

Straight from the sticky at the top of the forum:

What is BioWare adding to the ending with the Extended Cut DLC?
BioWare will expanding on the ending to Mass Effect 3 by creating additional cinematics and epilogue scenes to the existing ending sequences. The goal of these new scenes is to provide additional clarity and closure to Mass Effect 3.

The deus ex machina is still there. The same choices are still there.

Yes, they will polish it up.

See, No threads just to say thank you. Someone might as well put up one of those Zombie warning signs instead of the reminder of the site rules.

"Enter at own risk! This is their land now"

Can't you all just limit your ****ing to one thread? I mean really does it ever enter your minds that some of us don't care and therefore ignore those threads in hopes of not being folowed around the forums? Does the thread title say "come here, air your grievences with Bioware... again... and again" Get over yourselves. And stop ruining the forum for us just cause the game was ruined for yo8u, we didn't make the ending, we shouldn't have to suffer your constant belly aching, Make a thread, complain till you blue in the face and leave other threads alone unless it's on freaking topic.

You are here << Thank Bioware thread!

You should be here >> Bioware we're really mad thread! (which is like the first eight threads below this one. Take your bloody pick.)

For your information I -have- supported Bioware and thanked them
time and again. But the OP linked a transcript that sounded like a bunch
of PR and I pointed out the area of the transcript THAT THE OP LINKED
that I had a problem with. If the OP did not wish people to discuss
that, it shouldn't have been brought up let alone LINKED TO. ;)

That wasn't directed at you actually. "Saying this part doesn't make sense still" still doesn't really belong here and wasn't what he created the thread for since his post ends with "Show your support" not discuss the semantics of my pulled quote. But it is,'t as eye gougingly annoying as the "Thank them for crap! I think not" posts.  *Eyeroll* (Bioware you need an eyeroll emoticon!)

KBCT, can't you for once just leave a single positive thread alone? Is it your prerogative to police the forums making sure nothing gets too happy?

Support this notion, I enjoyed the hell out of Mass Effect 3, and I'm currently enjoying Dragon Age 2 and I will hopefully enjoy more games from BioWare in the future.

Oh. Okay then. I apologize.

What is bothering me is the fact I trusted BW even though I hated the ending. I knew they had a plan. I still want to believe they do and will continue to give them my support until they do something to kill it. But then stuff like this comes along and makes me shake my head and wonder what they're thinking. Do they even communicate among themselves?

And the closest they have to eyeroll emoticons is .

I will say "Thanks" when I see the EC. Bioware has talked a lot in the past but hasnt deliver what was expected (choice, no ABC ending) I think that the closure of the story should have been in the original game, not in a piece of DLC...lets see if they can redeem themselves.

What do you want people to say? That they agree with you when they obviously don't?

Not what you said but where you said it.

I for one am excited for both of these Free DLC's and the Devs taking time to answer questions they sort of thought we would get on our own.

I hear ya, but I see these threads A LOT. I just want to temper the enthusiasm with some facts. I don't care if people discount what I say. That's their prerogative.

Seriously, do you guys want a thread to be one-sided?

It wasn't fact, it was your opinion and since these threads are few and far between with all the hate on the forums right now, then yah, I think I speak for more then just myself when I say I am perfectly fine with a one sided thread if it gains me a break from hearing how much things suck for a few minuts.

I haven't seen your name around here for the last month since the release, but I'll assume you've been posting frequently in this forum.

I did quote the sticky (which is fact) and was willing to defend any statement. I wasn't expecting this though.

You have to realize that the people that liked the ending as-is are an extreme minority. About 2% out over 71,000 people. Or 1 in 50 people. That simply sucks by any definition.

Here is a poll that shows what people think of the Clarify DLC:

http://social.biowar...08/polls/31420/

I've got more polls too. It's not a few minuts.
