1: It is not like nwn, nwn2, bg, ME and this is a GOOD THING! The combat system utilizes all skills, nothing becomes useless! unlike nwn where alot was USELESS. The dog is awesome. Now it is true that if a char is 'killed'/'K'Od' that he or she will get up after the end of the battle (though with a permanent penalty until an injury kit is used on them) and it IS TRUE that mana, stamina and health auto-regen. This is not a BAD thing. it is GOOOOOOD! The reason why is that each battle you can lose. Especially after origins. It's like being fully prepped for a big battle each encounter. Now i am normally a hardcore d&d fan and scoffed at this concept at first, but i have now found it very much to my liking, as it allows for more tactical viability and makes all the minor encounters more epic, instead of the developing team making minor encounters passable without the loss of much health like in nwn. Also, the graphics are beautiful (PC version maxed) and i get no framerate decrease at all. (My system is a bit better than average, not a beast, it has 4gb ddr2 ram, dual core amd 5000+ and 9800Gt) Dog is awesome too
2: Noble Origin is short. I finished it in 30-40 mins listening to all dialogue and doing quests. That being said, it was VERY fun!
3: The story is very very very well done. So far the only downside is a little unintuitive with the questing system. Not initially, but later on you stumble across quests that require you to read a note you picked up, but alas, the note is not in your journal, codex or inventory. You do find it with a bit of looking though
4: Now here is a little tidbit. ALOT of the spoilers you guys have seen already are in the first 5% of the game.......Soooo there is ALOT of content which we have not seen and oooh is it nice
5: Camera, took a bit of getting used to but i like it. It can be like BG style (Though i wish you could zoom out a little further, as when a genlock can still attack from out of view max zoomed out it can cause some frustration).
Most importantly i had VERY VERY VERY HIGH expectations of this game, and it is meeting them in all aspects and surpassing in some others (I love the thud of a shield bash connecting, makes my subwoofer go BOOM)
Any questions, ask em now, as i will be diving back into the game soon
