Why can we see mutilated genitals, but our LIs are covered up?

That's a Banshee downstairs, and we all know what's upstairs.

Why show that, but not the natural form? What message does it send when we only show corrupted genitals?

I'm serious. In ME1 and ME2 the no nudity thing at least made sense from some perspectives, because there was no nudity. Now we have nudity, but only on monsters. Something doesn't add up here.

Disclaimer
The Mass Effect 3 Story and Campaign seems to be about exploring new worlds and alien creatures. Why does every single culture in the galaxy cover its genitals, when this isn't even the situation on Earth?

Might I also add that this screenshot is from the game we had to prove we had to see this forum.

Overall I don't blame them for being more tasteful (sort of), but I'm disappointed that Miranda never got a butt shot.

Bioware and Nudity never went hand-in-hand after a certain media outlet decided to pick on them during a slow news day.

but hey, thats what your imagination is for...

But that event happenned after ME1. Or are we talking about something earlier than that?

LOL. My first thought was "Is that an extreme close-up of Garrus?"

Did it? I don't remember that.

But that still would have occured after ME1. I was referring to when Fox ran an "expose" on the erotic sex-sim that was Mass Effect (2007).

Well, Fox News didn't deter Bioware from putting other things in-game, or in Dragon Age, so why would it now? After all this success, I don't think it was Fox that made Bioware more "conservative". They don't really have an excuse.

You know what would be hilarious?

Hacking the game so that the Banshee model replaces the nude Liara model in the sex scene.

Instant. Kudos.

Personally, I'm glad. BioWare's character models and animations are (mostly) improving, but the romance scenes are awkwardly mechanical. It's like watching the R-rated after hours lives of those animatronic performers at a Chuck E. Cheese.

Uncomfortable.

For some reason, in American media violence is more appropriote than sex.  It's screwy when you think about it, but there you go.  I know Mass Effect was made in Canada, but anything that wants to be successful in America has to follow those rules of decency.

And Bioware has plausible deniability with the Banshees.  Maybe we're not seeing what we think we're seeing, we're just seeing... something else.

Overall, all we really want is some good, old fashion, tasteful, nudity filled banging in our games.

America has an innate fear of the human body, which I do not share... which is why I'm a bad American.

I also hate baseball and would probably prefer to live in Deutschland... but I'm digressing, the reason is pretty much what I said above.. it's very strange I know.

I never played DA, but I remember seeing ads for that DLC. It does fit the pattern...

...and yet, I'd lay cold hard cash a huge chunk of the community who are now clamoring for nudity would clam up in a heartbeat if we got it, and it turned out to be Kaiden hanging dong.
