You could have an epic adventure of two people shaking hands and talking about the weather.

As long as the shaking wasn't too violent. Yes, I suppose you could.

I''d be fine with that, as long as Bioware provided artistic endings that lead into lots of speculation from everybody!:P

In the ending, they could go eat a vegetarian dinner so that no animal is ever mistreated in the making of the game. They would have a choice between a blueberry smoothie, spinach, or tomato soup.

I'm against the mutilation and  digestion of harmless little vegetables who never hurt a soul. Not even if they come in three colours:crying:
If Bioware did that I'd never buy a game by them ever again.

I think they should draw a nice picure witrh crayons in the end and you could choose to either draw the sea, a field of grass or a nice red apple.:)

And you could speculate wonderfully if there was an art contest and if there was, which picture would have one?
That would be so artistic!!!!!!!!!! Wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah yes I've played this game. I was confused by something that happened in the ending though. I had a friend who was drawing next to me. Next thing I know he is isolated at a table all by himself with the 2 crayons I was just using. Why did he leave me?

Forgot to mention: He had one of my crayons that I thought I broke when I coloured the red apple.

I have no need to see my characters' naked parts, however, it would make sense if they could imply nakedness by not having underwear equipped. Then just use camera shots that are "artful." Shouldn't be a problem, considering....

LOL, artful.  This is ironic considering all the recent controversy.

Overall I don't blame them for being more tasteful (sort of), but I'm disappointed that Miranda never got a butt shot.

This is one of the most amazing posts I have ever seen.

Overall, all we really want is some good, old fashion, tasteful, nudity filled banging in our games.

I think a little nudity is fine, especially if its during a romance scene.

I am not asking for sex with prostitutes , but if you go through the effort of romancing somebody, especially through all three games then I think a little nudity should be allowed.

THe game is already rated M.

But I also have to agree that its mainly the aemricans doing.

I am an American, not something to be proud of these days. I was raised in the military, so as a kid I was all over, I've been in France, lived in Germany, and to so many other places.

One thing I've noticed is that the Europeans, and Japanese, tend to view nudity as natural, nothing to be ashamed of as long as its not in an inappropriate context.

If its in a video game that is intended for adults, it should be fine, same with movies and TV. We are not asking for full on gang bang sex fest.

But perhaps a little boob is fine, and butt shots. Something to help show that this real, to help invest you further into the game. That this is the person you are romancing, the person you are trying to protect, the person you are fighting to save the galaxy for.

Now if Bioware didn't include nudity because of time, then I understand that. One must take into account all the things they added into the game, as well as all the things that needed to be carried over from the other games and the reaction to those things. Bioware had a lot on its plate making this, so not having time to make a to detailed sex scene is, to me, understandable.

Though releasing a paid DLC with nudity, that is something I would pay for : )

The thing that's always bugged me is that you see way more nudity and sexual content in R-rated movies. Just some that come to mind: Titanic, Monster's Ball, etc. Much of the "sex" in Bioware games is the culmination of a long relationship too, so it's really jarring and odd to see nothing but a black screen, like in DA2. I will say that I thought ME3 was a vast improvement on this, but yeah, still not good enough. If I can see real half-naked bodies at an R movie, it's completely illogical to tell me that I can't see a fake half-naked body in an M game.

I'm American too and I find the" violence/drugs are safer than sex" policy totally embarrassing.

That's a Banshee downstairs, and we all know what's upstairs.

Why show that, but not the natural form? What message does it send when we only show corrupted genitals?

I'm serious. In ME1 and ME2 the no nudity thing at least made sense from some perspectives, because there was no nudity. Now we have nudity, but only on monsters. Something doesn't add up here.

Disclaimer
The Mass Effect 3 Story and Campaign seems to be about exploring new worlds and alien creatures. Why does every single culture in the galaxy cover its genitals, when this isn't even the situation on Earth?

Might I also add that this screenshot is from the game we had to prove we had to see this forum.

the picture of those genitals will haunt my dreams forever. the moment i saw that i thought to myself, "they all float down there". that and the song, "show me ur genitals". but i completely agree that the banshee is far more disturbing than LT would be in similiar garments. also with the whole social concept, why do so many of them speak english? and if there were translators than it would just be like watching a dub'd movie.

From the Codex:

Human cultures remain linguistically divided. Some converse in Spanish, others in Mandarin, Arabic, Swahili, etc. Every alien race has their own equally broad panoply of languages and dialects.
Most individuals know only their mother tongue, and rely on machine translation. Modern portable computers allow anyone with a few hundred credits of equipment to enjoy seamless real-time translation of alien languages, courtesy of handheld PDAs, computers in clothing or jewelry, or sub-dermal implants. Without fast and accurate translation, galactic trade and culture would not exist.
Governments provide subsidized software, updated through the public extranet "on the fly", often as users approach spaceport customs facilities. Even the batarians, who isolated themselves from galactic society nearly two decades ago, take pains to provide up-to-date glossaries and linguistic rules, though most suspect that this is only so they can continue exporting propaganda.
It is still considered broad-minded and practical to be able to speak without machine aid. Children often take courses in alien language, and most races can speak the simplified artificial "trade tongue" with little difficulty.
Some species must rely on machine translation to interact with the rest of the galaxy. Hanar, for example, cannot reproduce the spoken language of any humanoid species, and other races cannot reproduce hanar bioluminescence without mechanical aid. Newly discovered or obscure races don't have machine translation available until the linguists have had time to study them.

It's an 'american thing'. Graphical depictions of heads being blown off is alright, but nipples and hoohoos and weewees aren't.

I realize Bioware is based in Canada, but come on. 51st state.

Contrary to what many people believe, we'd be happy to have you :) And we're not nearly as stuck-up as many would think. And sex is not nearly as much of a problem to our media here...violence, on the other hand...brrr...

I'm shocked as well.

Sorry for necromancing my own bromance, but I just wanted to see if this old thread was still around. The fact that it isn't locked feels like unfinished business.

Edit: Feel free to check out the massive pyramid of religious hatred on page 8 while you're here.

It probably wasn't locked because it naturally sank deep into the abyss, where it belongs. Time to help it along.

Locked.
