the protheans buried stasis pods all over, its not unreasonable that there could be a few more still active, that have not yet been discovered. I agree a whole prothean faction wouldn't make sense, but having a playable prothean character wouldn't be that bad imo.


It would cheapen Javiks character arc is the main thing.

There's supposed to be a prothean sole survivor. The shepard of his cycle. Not an entire friggin black ops team that was really good at hiding. 


It's noted that Javik's stasis pod was given power priority over the others'. IIRC, I don't think it's ever mentioned that the others died. But yes, it would pretty much dilute his story.

If you knew anything about the story then you'd probably not have made this statement.

The Protheans apparently have hidden facilities all over the place, it is not much of a stretch to imagine to imagine that some of the facilities have survived or remained undiscovered on one of the hundreds of BILLIONS of planets in the milky way galaxy.

I backhanded the quarians into extinction in my playthrough, and you're giving me a multiplayer with Quarians in it? Bosh'tet, please. Remove the quarians from multiplayer, and then I'll see about supporting an anti-prothean multiplayer movement.

This. I'm not sure adding more story dlc to explain the discovery of more protheans would be easy to pull off either. I wouldn't mind playing as a free-willed collector either, this might be easier to build into the story.

Only dead in your playthrough. Protheans are extinct(bar Javik) in every playthrough.

except the Bioware making the map especially for extinct race such as Oravores, Ditakur, Synril, Inusannon

and when they promote the N7 , Bioware making it as the data how to fight the reapers as top secret data of N7 rather than a Soldier sent to war assets, because they're all dead.

One word: clones.  See also: Collectors.


Clones don't exsist in the ME universe beyoned Shepard do they? 

And that seems rather lame.

I actually have an idea for multiplayer dlcs .. rogue ai and loose biohazard factions of xmirs/ymirs and rachni/creepers. Both of them could have some hideous units from me1-me3. Beef up a couple of ymirs and you got yourself an atlas coming, add an assassin bot from me3 and it's a merc phantom version with some dreaded rocket sentry bots flying from beyond resp ridges.

Same goes for player races - xmir assassin and.. I want a volus biotic commando!!! )))

As for the rachni, they can just have poison AoE to have people strained in cover.

I agree, and disagree. Of course it makes no sense, but frankly, the multiplayer takes some creative liberties as it is. i.e. Geth on every planet, including ones where it doesn't make sense, having cerberus attack empty colonies/bases, the massive number of cerberus troops, getting orders to lock down a base and then leaving 20 minutes later, etc. so having protheans wouldn't put a huge dent in the already brokenness of the MP.

Bioware has officially run out of new races to add too. All others make no sense and keeping with the mechanics of the game, we're not getting any new races that aren't humanoids like the rest. They may add it in a desperate attempt to keep people playing, as you can only dish out so many new maps.

I do agree though. it should be lore friendly.

Bioware makes the "lore" of the Mass Effect universe. If they want to make some random DLC that explains more protheans surviving somewhere that Sheperd and his/her team don't know about then they can.

To the people saying no. Bioware made the so called "lore" so they can put in what ever they want. ME1 all protheans dead. ME2 all dead. ME3 suddenly 1 is alive? Wtf? Why aren't you all crying about that?

It's not "Thousands" of Protheans out there, its at most 4. Other people playing does not affect your game, your Galaxy at war doesn't go up when other people complete missions. So I repeat, at the most it would be 4 Protheans alive.
