Having geth characters or fighting reapers/geth in cerberus bases is rather subtle. Having protheans would blatantly contradict the entire plotline.

One thing is to clone them (with what btw? Collector DNA? That wouldn't work. Javik is with sheppard during this whole time as well) and another thing is training them for military action.

They would be confused, would have no prothean weapons, would have no prothean biotic abilities, would have no prothean military training, they wouldn't know anything about their history and culture and I can go on.

Not to mention it takes time to grow a Prothean army...


Cloning the Protheans is not an option.

Cloning is possible now. Giving them memories and training takes time(see Grunt). So cloning a Prothean army isn't viable in the Reaper war time frame.

Then why haven't we found one yet? We've been exploring the galaxy for 2000+ years you'd think we'd have found one by yet.

It took Cerberus a lot of effort and money to track down all the clues ridden around in the galaxy to find Javik's pod in the first place. I highly doubt Cerberus missed x planet with x protheans sleeping in stasis especially as such a thing would require a ****ton of energy. Also, why would the galaxy find the Prothean Sleeping pods whilst incredibly crippled and fighting a huge goddamned reaper invasion?

Besides, what plot device would this fill? Othern then your selfish "ME WANTS IT!!!!!111one" ? The reaper invasion is about us, not the Protheans. Javik is there to offer us perspective of what awaits the future of our civilization if we fail against the reapers. Having "Volus merchant finds Prothean sleeping pods in x planet" does **** all to the plot other than blatantly belittle everything about the Protheans.

YOU sir is a blight in the galactic purity! when Bioware designs a MP, they dont/or shouldnt be strictly basing things on current SP lore; There is a thematic lore, yes but to increase the longetivity of MP they should include all the elements in the ME universe (who knows we might get a volus char next XD ). Besides they wouldnt come up with original ideas for a DLC that ISNT in the ME universe as of now, and i believe your talkin about new race that isnt in the ME universe as of now unless there is ME4 in the future with new lores and stuff

as im always preaching  in my posts about "MP future dlc" topics, they should really implement a platinum difficulty whereas we fight a boss like humanoid reaper from ME2, rachni queen etc.(they should have a unique objectives and unique skills) in a special stage which also spawns corresponding mobs; The availability of this mode is once or trice a week only; or certain n7 rating can only access it; or if youve done all the faction in gold mode in a day, and then thats the only time you can access platinun mode that day. The rewards.. i dont know, prestige maybe? because this mode is like "25 man heroic raid" if were talkin MMO, kinda like almost impossible to beat
