Ok, so I just finished a bunch of gold sessions on firebase white with geth with some randoms. We won most of them but in the ones we lost there was always one guy who insisted on going solo. The guy would stay up at the upper part of the base when the rest of us were at the lower part. The problem with the upper part on that base is that enemies can flank you from three different directions. You can handle it easily on bronze and silver, but not on gold.
Anyway the purpose of this post is to tell people you have to stick with your team on gold. If you see three guys running to a specific part of the map, then you should probably join them. Chances are they know what they are doing, and even if they don't, you have a better chance of winning if you stick with your team. You can solo bronze and even silver pretty easily but not gold.
Stick with your team on gold!!!!

I have played a Salarian team (3 Infiltrators and 1 Engineer) on high ground in Firebase White and we did just fine. I've played the same composition on Ghost with hardly ever seeing other players and we owned the enemy.
It's not where you bunker upm it's your skills in damage and CC what matters. Granted, White with an Engineer, an Infiltrator, and a couple of Soldiers with Falcons all grouped up at the back, behind chesthigh walls, is a no-brainer, but it is by no means the only way to beat it.
P.S. I'm speaking about Gold, btw. You can win Bronze and Silver any day with a half competent team. Especially now when most players already know what they are doing.
