You're assuming they wouldn't make a new protagonist.Tyrzun wrote...

I'm betting that if they make a Mass Effect 4, which I'm pretty sure EA will demand, it won't be an RPG except perhaps in name only. It'll be a CoD clone in a Sci-fi universe. Basically, Halo with Asari.
And there won't be any of this "tailored universe." One universe, one canon, one story.
It works for Gears, Halo, and CoD, and they make a lot of money. That's all EA cares about, milking franchises.
An abomination? Sure. But Bioware seems to be EA's answer to Infinity Ward, so any RPG elements will wither away until they're gone. We're almost already there anyway.
(The other option is an MMO, but seeing that TOR is apparently having a rough time of it, I don't see them sinking a ton of money into a universe they basically blew up.)
ME4 = Halo 1. Now who's depressed?
I don't see the point in it, if they conclusion of the war gets sorted in the expansion, then what's the point for a 4? Building back the galaxy after everything is ****ed?but did EA ever say the same thing?

Casey Hudson said that no other installments of the ME series will take place after ME3, rather during or prior the events of the series.

Because prequels worked so well for Star Wars...
Infact, the large majority of prequels end up being abysmal both movie and game form as the inevitable continuity issues arise and the suspense is pointlessly wasted.
Bioware royally screwed ME3 ending up... I find it hilarious anyone has faith in a new ME prequel that would be poised to screw up the ENTIRE ME Trilogy with its screw up.
