Even after we're told that we're getting an extended ending that isn't as abrupt/nonsensical? Even after the Patrick Weekes interview where he stated what could ahve been doen better with the ending? Even after the DLC was announced to be free? What'll it take to make the fans here happy? Will Bioware Edmonton have to go out of business after EA's stock drops and all empoyees be shifted over to dvelop casual mobile game spinoff of EA Sports frnchises in order to sate the fanrage?

The number one fule of any attempt to cause change is to never let up until that change happens. If people stop complaining/discussing/whatever then EA won't make the DLC, they will let it slide or cut it out of the budget because they will start to feel we no longer care so why waste the resources. No, now more than ever people need to keep vocal.

At some point folks just gotta come to the realization that sometimes things you love turn out bad. Real bad. This is one of them times.

if I pay for something, anything, it better damn well not be bad, or I'm RETURNING IT!!! "angry-face"

point made,.............counter? anyone?

Well the point is it took 5 years, 3 games (alot of money on games, dlc, merchandise...) and many empty promises about the ending to get to all this.
So i don't believe it's realistic to think this will go away that easy.

The Retake movement is only a part of the people that feel disappointed about this ending.
You may see Retake movement as a small group, but not willing to admit that there's even a larger group of people who don't like the ending and those same people do not agree with the solution that is extending this ending.
Well that's just ignoring the elephant in the room here.

Saying "i didn't get what i want" is annoying and sounds unrealistic.

Saying "We didn't get what we were promised" no that's not whining, that's simply telling the truth.

People have a right to complain, after the extended cut comes out and they have something concrete to complain about if they don't like it.

The ending is still bad. Everything they've said about the Extended Cut implies it will still be bad, just slightly less so.

So... there ya go.

nothing has been varified yet, as it stands it could make it a even bigger pile of crap than it already is.

well EA is a game company. just like paramount or any other Movie Enternament company if they have a movie that bombs the stocks will go down.

Your making it sound as if this is somthing new it isn't. just no one cared as much

Biowares problem not mine. You seem to forget there a business.  You release a bad product don't expect people to line up to buy more.  I could care less if they implode.  ea has sunk so many developers that it's almost assured they will fail.  Ea puts time contains on bioware causing a rushed product then they revolve content to sell on launch and you won't o defend them.  That's ok it's your poragative. Just don't get mad at fans/consumers when they act like consumers.

Bioware should be happy they are still on the forums as it gives them a chance to win them back.  This is after all about money not art.  Anyone thinking bioware I in it for just art is a fanbo to the point of delusional.

Finall no one including you knows if his extended ending is any good till its released.  Till then nothing has changed sinc they have already lied to us leading up to launch and they can no longer be trusted.  Especially when sales depend on it

Many of us just want new endings or the removal of Star Child. Seeing as this won't happen, we are not very happy with that.

I suppose we will just have to wait and see, though.

What many people are concerned about is their stance on 'we will NOT change the ending' stated in their FAQ, which makes people wonder how in any way the Catalyst scene and Shepard's choices based upon trusting the catalyst can be satisfying.

Links in my signature go into a bit of detail on that.

Quite true. People get stuck on "it's free!", as if that's the answer to everything.

This ending DLC makes as much sense as if, say, someone you loved got into an accident and was killed. The technology exists to bring that person back to life but the Doctors instead revives them so he can stage the accident which killed your beloved so you can see it with your own eyes how they died, and they die again.

welcome to bsn. people will complain about anything and everything. if it wasnt the ending it would be something else. nevermind the fact that we are getting two free dlcs and the fact that the rest of the game was great. they didnt like the ending so they are out to ruin the whole game and the whole series rep because of it.

And welcome to the internet where some people will always defend anything and everything. If it wasn't the ending they're defending, it would be something else. Nevermind the fact that the complains might be valid and the fact that the rest of the series suffer from it.  They don't like people complaining towards their chosen defense so they're out to (not so veiled) insult those who feel otherwise because of it.

I'm pretty sure Retake ME3 has pretty explicitly stated that they want nothing short of an entirely new ending. So...that. Not entirely sure how I feel about that, however.

I'm not sure why OP bothered posting this thread. What was this thread suppose to accomplish? It certainly doesn't highlight the ridiculousness of people still complaining as much as it does make the OP seem like a person with a stick up the terminal end of his large intestine.

Aside:

Dear ending hate folks: the restaurant metaphor REALLY, REALLY does not work here. You did not order a steak, or a burger, or any such nonsense. The restaurant metaphor only works if you, in fact, were the one choosing the specifics of the product you were consuming.

That was never the case here.

A better metaphor here would be something book or movie related.

Ok, remember that time the Hulk movie blew chunks, the one by Ang Lee, and then they did a reboot?  Yeah.

Yes. I would work with that metaphor!

(Though I didn't actually watch either one)
