People at Pax say indoctrination theory was shot down by Bioware, which means the endings will stand.

Originally I was not happy with Bioware for releasing such plot hole ridden incomplete endings, but I didn't give up on them.  After Dr. Ray Muzyka released his commments I was encouraged.  Now it's over and the damage is catastrophic to the Mass Effect Universe.

You don't need 30 minute long videos to realize that the 3 Mass Effect 3 endings cannot be fixed with extended cuts.

In Mass Effect 1 the enemy is Saren, but really it's Sovereign a Reaper.  The story says one Reaper comes back to "Activate" the citadel which brings all of the Reapers to the Citadel.

The existance of Star Child, the KING of the Reapers, makes that all untrue because he is on the Citadel.  Star Child is supposedly the real "sheperd" of organics and is out to help them.  He can command Reapers even the ones at the end of the Galaxy, like Harbinger commands thralls, but he can't do anything to the Citadel he is on?  Come on.

There are many many many other massive plot holes, but Star Child makes everything from a bit past 50% of Mass Effect 1 pointless.

Drew wrote ME 1 and ME 2 and it is clear the writers of ME 3 didn't understand ME 1.  They've trashed it all by creating Star Child and they refuse to remove the character.  Nor the ridiculous idea that the Reapers are the good guys.

For the record I despise Drew's original leaked ending, but it would have made sense and it would not have damaged ME 1, ME 2m or the lore.  We could at least enjoy other stories in Mass Effect and felt like it was a fully fleshed out "realistic" universe we could role play in.  That is not the case.

The most troubling thing of all is this is no longer a Mass Effect 3.  This goes beyond that and is now a Bioware and Mass Effect universe issue.  This decision to say to the fans we care more about artistic freedom, than continutiy or being true to our own lore is a deal breaker.  Many people may not totally understand the implications this has on ALL future games by Bioware, but they will learn the hard way.

Mass Effect 3 did to the Mass Effect universe what Highlander 2 did to the Highlander universe.  Highlander 2 made everything that happened in ME 1 not possible.  ME 3 has done that to ME 1 and ME 2.  It's what happens when you bring in a new "head writer" that wants to leave their "artistic" mark.  Their priorities are not the fans.

Ok you Sci-Fi people that still may not get the degree of how destructive the Star Child angle really is.

Imagine Star Trek for a moment, doesn't matter if it's Captain Kirk, Picard, etc...  The Borg are trying to destroy the earth, it's the last stand of humanity.  The series pain stakingly introduced us to the Borg and what their REAL mission is, to assimilate everyone.  AKA the Reapers.  Now a Pink Space Pony pops up at the pinacle of the finale battle and says the Borg bring WAR and death to you to keep you from killing each other, and then your own Borg creations kill you so I sent my Borg creations to kill you first.  To save other organic life, because BORG life is superior anyways...

You say to Pink Space Pony  "Why not have your BORG destroy our BORG after our BORG kill us to keep them from killing other life, but while still weaker than your BORG?"  Uh....  stop looking behind the curtain of the all powerful OZ kid.

Your other choice is to turn all organics into BORG and there will be no more organic life ever.  Yes, you Captain get to commit galactic genocide to all living things against their will.  You're such a good guy if you do this Captain!

Your last choice is to destroy my Borg and all of your AI friends, but your Borg will kill you and take our place.

You say "Ok so you are going to destroy all "software" in the universe, because our friends the GETH are just software and make ALL ships crippled in the process and set ps back to the industrial age?"

Pink Space Pony "Uh well, no your computer softare isn't going to be harmed nor your electronic equipment."

You say "What's the difference all of it is made up of code?"

Pink Space Pony says "Uh.... kid I told you to stop looking behind the curtain of the all powerful Oz"

There is NO WAY they can ever make the Star Child or the 3 choices make any sense at all.

Bioware keep your extended cuts.  You've dumped all over the "science" of the Mass Effect universe and basically said the people that played Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2 wasted their time, because none of that mattered.  None of it was ever needed and it was all a Red Herring.

There is no need to be angry or whine.  Bioware has made their decision and you all need to respect it.  Now when they release future products, you get to make your decisions.  Bioware forgot that their decisions are NOT as important as yours.  You are their boss and they forgot that.  I plan on reminding them when the time comes regarding purchasing their products.

Oh and Bioware.  You can keep your extended cuts.  I don't want them.  I stopped reading comics a long time ago because everything was constantly retconned and never actually happened.  No way i'll pay for $60 comics.  No thanks.
