I want Grunt back. :(

If they introduced a new character, (which I don't really think they should, since we have a lot to choose from as it is) I'd want it to be a female turian.

No we have enough Krogan, plus we already have a soldier on the squad and Javik is pretty much has the same attitude. We need Batarians!

What about Jorgal Thurak? After the genophage is cured most of the clans swore fealty (or whatever the Krogan equivalent is?) so wouldn't he be without Power over anyone, maybe Wrex/Wreav would send him to help Shepard as an insult to the Jorgal clan, but throughout the game he would come to respect Shepard as a capable warrior and the true cuter of the genophage,

Thoughts?

Better idea, after the genophage is cured because they don't have to focus on breeding as much one of the krogan women who served as warriors to protect the fertile women joins the Normandy.

That or a turian woman

If they release a DLC where Grunt rejoins the squad, I would be so unbelievably happy! Mama and son reunited again!

The idea of a Collector would have been really cool, at least before we found out we were getting Javik. Though the way a certain fan described a Collector squadmate almost makes me wish we got that instead of Javik. I'm paraphrasing here, but this was the fan's orginal idea:

After discovering a collector, you allow it to join your squad since it has no real purpose to exist anymore after being abandoned by Harbinger. You then go on a mission or two because you hear rumours of other Collector survivors and your Collector wants to investigate. The more you look, the more apparent it becomes that your squadmate is, indeed, the last Collector. As the game progresses and you interact with it, you can either make it a slave like Harbinger did with no thoughts of its own (Renegade) or allow it to develop into its own person (Paragon).
That would've been pretty cool IMO.

How about Balak from 'bring down the sky' or (highly impossible) bring Saren back. Shepard has too many squad members that are paragon and good. In ME 3 Shepard has no renegade or badass squad members ( Javik doesn't count). He/She NEEDS some!

Isn't Grunt the Paragon Krogan?

If they are going with somethig completly new...

There has to be at least 1(possibly only 1) bad**s volus, hanar or elcor in the universe. Pick on one of them.

balak, or that random-ass batarian talking to the french guy on the refugee camp benches.

maybe a raloi that gtfo'd their homeworld before the government destroyed all their spacefaring tech?

i'd like to see one, but an elcor squaddie would a) be way too one-dimensional and B) be horrendously difficult to animate. what i /really/ want to see is an inusannon - but it won't happen for the reasons above.

also necroing

If any squadmates were to be added to the game via DLC (which I think is fairly unlikely to happen, given comments made by Patrick Weekes regarding ME2 squadmates) I'd prefer it were a familiar face instead of a new one, preferably one from ME2. Even with the casualties suffered in ME3, we still have an overabundance of former squadmates that would be welcome additions to the Normandy.

It's all academic, of course. Like I said, I think it's unlikely to happen.

If they were to introduce a completely new DLC character I would rather see a Batarian join the team. Don't get me wrong, I love Krogans but they have already been included before.

I'd be fine with just temporary squadmembers like Mordin, Grunt and Legion. This kind of DLC would be nice if it would contain multiple temporary squadies. I hardly would buy a DLC for just one squadie since procuring every DLC squadmember this way would cost a fortune. I don't mind if the DLC squadmember is a krogan or not.

Yea, that never ended up going anywhere did it?  Seemed like they probably had an idea of where that minor sub-plot was going but like with so many others it just never got resolved.

I like the Felere ideas, but I can never have enough asari around.

Agreed. Either Grunt, Jack, or Miranda. Though to be honest I could only see Grunt being possible in the long run

How do you not see Miranda becoming available in the long run? Miranda, who is away from any and all action for 95% of the game, and who's troubles in ME3 (Finding Oriana, learning of Henry's association with Cerberus) could very well have been handled with Liara (The friggin' Shadow Broker) and Traynor (Who can find a fly 15 lightyears out in the middle of an asteroid field). Nevermind that, out of all of the ME2 characters, besides Samara and Kasumi, she has the WEAKEST reasons for not coming. It's really as if Bioware couldn't think of anything legitimate for her to say, so they just sort of took something out of a hat.

I'd like her to join the crew again but with her whole deal with finding her sister and how spred out it is until the second to last mission of the game it just doesn't seem like bioware would make her a DLC squadmate with all the work it would take to make her little "meetings" fit into her being a squadmate. I just don't see bioware taking the time to switch existing content. With Grunt they more or less need to add one conversation of him on the Normandy after the Rachni mission and he would be a squadmate.
