If my **** is gone or my saves are F'd up when this "update" is done, I'm going to raise hell.

That sucks

For me I just went to turn on my game and it said it had to update first and had to download 9.9BG's of data. I am not sure if I should let this run but even If I press play without the update it won't allow me to play ME3 at all so I guess I have to reinstall everything it looks like since I have no other options. *sigh*

This is really aggravating. <_<

That's great!

Hopefully that means I won't have to reinstall everything either once the download is complete. My download is going really slow though for some reason. I am amazed at how fast you downloaded the update!

Yeah, only took 45 minutes, not bad for 10GB!

You'll be fine, sleep well knowing nothing is broken, although it is pretty weird that this happend.

Mines a 9.4gb "update" as origin is calling it. Im calling bull**** on this one, it seems to me that all it is doing is completely wiping the games system files then reinstalling them lol.

I am a PC user in the USA and it is now 1:48am Mountain Standard Time and I have yet to see a change in my patch version number. My MassEffect3.exe is version v1.02, while my MassEffect3Config.exe is v1.03. But from what I read somewhere a while back....the new patch is supposed to upgrade you game to version v1.03 and not v1.02 or v1.01. But considering that BioWare has not said much about it (except we all get upgraded game versions) it is hard to tell what the new game version is supposed to really be.

BioWare......What is the new game version?

Ya, I am had the samew thing happen here. But now after only the first time crashing.....I cannnot connect to EA server(s).....PERIOD!......What is going on? I started a post here that lists what happened to me.

I just downloaded a 40mb patch. But the game is even worse for me now.
Brief history of my ME3 problems
after ME3 launch- the game ran perfectly no crashes just a few MP glitches
after 1.02 - i could only complete bronze challenge as my game crashes whenever i complete silver or gold(played lots of match but ended up getting no credits or exp) .I stopped playing Mass effect 3 after this.
after this new april 9th patch- my game crashes twice as before. i crashed twice when clicking on store and crashed as usual when completing silver challenge.

So this update hasn't actually fixed anything but only broke more things. I can't even update my game to 1.02, it's still stuck on 1.01. Could it be possible that 1.02 is being block because its breaking more things than it's suppose to fix? Should I be glad that im still on 1.01?. It also means that I won't be able to play MP since everyone else is on a different version to mine.

My game is complety fine...got the update, no crashes, everytings fine and smooth, and i tested the crash on horizon to see if it was really fixed and yes i can confirm it is, so maybe you guys have problems with grapihcs card or something, because in my end, everything is good and no complains to be honest.

Same here.  I guess it's not actually fully compatible with ME2; it seems to have chosen the closest available hairstyle and hair colour, but making the correct ones available would've obviously been much nicer.  The face also looks oddly scrunched up, or the head's bigger, or both.

Only thing that doesnt make sense to me is i can complete a match in bronze difficulty with out any problems. but it crashes after the extraction mission in silver or gold always not just occasionally . i never had this problem before.

i still haven`t got the DLC yet here in the UK but the patch seems ok.

I am sure Origin did, else you wouldn't have 1.02
Also the DLC isn't tied to the game version. And no, the update was rather small.

I am trying to find and download the resurgence pack....but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Does anyone know where to find the new DLC? I live in the USA (Mountain Standard Time) and I can't find the DLC on Origin. But I was able to download the DLC for Xbox 360 version of ME3. Did they release the DLC on Xbox 360 before PC?

Since downloading and installing the new patch on April 9, 2012, I started a new character (my 4th) from an ME3 import. I played about 2 hours and noticed I was getting achievements. I found this strange as I had gotten them ALL except the “Overload Specialist”. I checked my achievements and saw that all were missing except the few that I had received while playing the last 2 hours.

I decided to load my character that I played and finished last from the last saved point (ending the game with the child) to see if the achievements would return. After finishing from the last save, I got the “Insanity” achievement since it was the character I played on insanity, yet no return of missing achievements.

Need I say I have reloaded, ended, and replayed the ending of my characters to see if they would reappear, no luck. I have checked to see if the “Upload Game Feedback” was on in the option section, yes. I have Cloud Sync on and had it on before the patch was downloaded and installed.

Here is version after the patch:

MassEffect3.exe - 1.2.5427.16
MassEffect3Config.exe - 1.3.0.1 (unchanged)

Need I say I am a little upset with this and going by EA/Bio great reputation of fixing things, I am very disappointed with the Quality Assurance process for this game.
I hope there is a real simple solution to this because being told “We are looking into this” means “You are SOL.”
