Would you like to see the Collectors as an enemy type?

Anything that increases variety in Multi-player works for me.

I also think that the Colony level on Mass Effect 2 where you first encounter a Praetorian would make an excellent Multi-player level.

Yeah, there are some stray groupings of collectors left here and there that the elite squad encounters, it fits fine with the lore.

I would love fight Collectors in MP. I think I said that hundred times by now...

And they fit lore very well if you think about it.

I think it would be better if the Harbinger collectors were just called something else and just a unit as opposed to a collector drone being possessed. Simply because Harbinger being involved just raises more questions.

This would be an awesome addition. I liked the idea earlier from someone else to to incorporate some single player DLC with it where you have to mop up some remaining collector remnants somewhere (maybe even a twist that you find cerberus fighting collectors on Omega).

Yeah, Oculus and seeker swarms (see Reaper/Reaper War codex entries) are still used, so maybe there are a couple Collectors left.

If Bioware was to implement the Collectors, which I think is a great idea, I hope they would modify the Scion's shockwave attack. IIRC, it can blow right through cover.

But yeah, the game assets are all there, it's a varied group, and most of us are familiar with them. Would they fit into the setting of Mass Effect 3? I think Bioware has enough imagination to make that work. The Collector base was destroyed, but they should still be around.

Cerberus build a research station beyond the Omega-4 Relay, around the remains Collector Base, called Avernus Station. Put some clones in there and we are fine with lore. But why would cerberus clone collectors? They wouldn't. Harbinger did that when Reaper forces eventually took over the station.

Units are there, enemies are there, models and textures are there, voices are there... Only think collectors need is a little tweak to fit new game mechanics.

"Prepare this multiplayer for ascension."

They could be trying to clone humans to bolster Cerberus troops, maybe kidnapping and indoctrinating was too much of a hassle, or not as efficient as TIM would have liked? Or maybe it's just something in addition to the kidnapping.

+1 on this, though I'll put out the Praetorian would need some adjustment... it moves slow and locks on to a single target for a long time, two things that would kill it in MP regardless of how tough you make it. Scions are also only encountered with Husks... not sure if they qualify, though perhaps Husks get added in as well?

Also interested in the Merc factions and Gunships. Would definitely mix things up a bit.

The best way around that is multiple Praetorians, depending on the setting. Even if they move slowly, you can have a Praetorian hunting each player. It keeps them on their toes. Or it could be adjusted so it changes its focus when it needs to.

The Collectors use Abominations, which are a type of husk, so it probably wouldn't look too odd if they had Scions too. I just felt it works better if all the units are unique, even though they used normal husks in ME2.

Some of the enemy sounds are fantastic. The Banshee's scream in particular sends chills down my spine. But I kind of miss hearing "THIS HURTS YOU", and this would be the perfect opportunity to put some of those lines back into the game. The MP isn't strictly canon anyway (Geth appearing on Tuchunka, for example), so having Harbinger's voice shouldn't be a huge issue.

There's no reason why they can't be added at some point, which is why it seems like a good idea. They'd need to update the animations so that they can dodge, and so they can react to things like melee in the same manner as other enemies, but they probably use the same basic skeleton as every other normal-sized enemy, so I can't imagine it'd be too hard. Slap some updated textures on there and you'd basically be done.

Lol, it was bad enough sitting through them in ME2, could you imagine finding out you've been put against the Collectors, and will have to sit through 20 minutes of "Assuming Direct Control" and "This hurts you". Image IPB

They wouldn't have to happen as often, but it'd be refreshing to hear something other than Banshee scremas or smoke grenades going off. They were annoying at the time, but looking back they were also amusing, like the "I will destroy you!", "Enemy is everywhere!" or "Go go go!" lines from ME1. Speaking of which, if they bring in a merc faction I'm sure they could squeeze those lines into the enemy dialogue!

I think this is a great idea. as previously stated, they have the enemy types, and they could be tied in with singe player dlc.
