To quote Aethyta, "It's about as useful as ****** on a hanar". Just my opinion but i can't be the only one thinking this. The one reason i don't play Salarian Infiltrator as much on Silver/Gold.

Maxed out with radius, 20% dmg increase from all players, and tier 6 damage it's actually very useful.

Um.. No. Proximity Mine:6(Damage,Vulnerability,Damage). Its great for taking out huge targets.

Turian Soldier can make good use of Proximity Mine. +20% damage from all player sources is nothing to sneeze at.

i use it on my salarian infiltrator i can kill atlas and brutes really fast stealth proximity mine than headshot rinse and repeat 2 or 3 shots even the big guys drop fast

I agree, I like SE better since all three of his powers are very good, while I wouldn't put a point into proximity mine. I'd rather take any other tech power in the game ... cryo + sniping would be cool.

Its unfortunate that most believe the debuff skills are worthless. I mean 20% damage for the whole team and thrown into a big mob that can really help.
Its that or fitness. Even if you only use it to start every round it will be worth it.

Yeah but i'd rather spec other tress than spend the points getting to level 6, full points on Energy Drain and Cloak and fitness, Proximity mine and the other missing the last skill.

Love using them on groups of cannibals eating, very useful on a shotty build SI with fire one power cloaked.
And as others have said +20% dam from all sources.
The key is to use the aggressively in combos & not just plant them on the ground.
Proxi mines are very under rated.

You only need to spec out proxi's to lvl 5 +20% for them to be useful.
And the SI doesn't need full fitness with maxed energy drain.
Lvl 3 fit give 750 shield & lvl 6 energy drain gives 40% shield buff

...Yep, useless right? Need to use it offensively. On TS it's more efficient than Marksman on big targets without weak points. On SI it's free damage with every cloak shot. What's not to like?

Even if you just have rank 1 it's useful as a little alarm system to let you know if you're being flanked

Then keep Proxy at zero like 95% of the SIs out there. Problem Solved. It is worth speccing for it on Turian Soldier since you can get away with zero in Concussive Shot.

edit: i do enjoy concussive shot, really equip disrupting ammo and spam CS on everything sparkling, tech burst chain, profit

Useless, sure. Cloak-fire it for +damage bonus fromm cloak and then get an extra damage boost for your sniper from the mine until cloak wears off. Both a grenade launcher and, as correctly mentioned, free alarm again flanking.

Mine + cloak shot doesn't do much more damage vs health/armor than energy drain + cloak shot does, but the debuff is pretty awesome
