Hello,
I'm playing a warrior dwarf and am getting a lockup at the loading screen directly before we drink the darkspawn blood.  Whats-his-name will give the "What it is to be a warden" speech, then the screen will read "loading . . . " and will never change.  The dots after "loading" stay animated so it's not a complete hard lock.

My receiver flickers DTS over and over, so I'm going to try disabling DTS in my PS3 options and I will post back.  So far, I've found no way to get around this.  I've tried pausing the game, ejecting it, changing video settings to no avail.  I sent the question to EA and it's still marked "unresolved."

I'll let you know what happens with the DTS part.  Please let me know if anyone is having this problem.

SOLUTION - Went home on lunch and tried the DTS disable trick.  Works like a charm.

Do you hava any idea how this could work on the PC? As I get the same problem

Not sure what the sound system is on a PC (I migrated from PC to PS3 right before this game came out) for this game.



Check the audio options in the game settings. Are you running digital out of your PC? If you've got a creative card and are running digital, make sure your DD and DTS is set to "passthrough" or "external decoder."

i have the same issue about the flickering DTS logo. when this happens i have NO sound, my sollution is to pull out the optical cable from the ps3, wait 5 secs and then put it again.

Well to be honest I'm not even sure as to what DD and DTS stand for. In the in game audio options it only has, the sound effects volume, music volume, dialogue volume and the option to force stereo sound for headphone use. I may even have a slightly different problem however the loading screen does sound very similar. For mine the loading screen is in the bottom corner and it is just a small white loading sign that flashes every now and then and has animated dots after it.
