Yea he looks the part but the accent is the killer.

Also swapped Harrison Ford for Michael Biehn, bit younger.

But I still think she'd fit the role.

Statham would probably be a good maleshep. He's actually a good actor, even though he has a habbit of choosing roles that don't show it off very well.

I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favorite thread on the forums!! So much winning happening right now.

Personally though, I can't see ever getting into a Mass Effect movie with Shepard as the protagonist. My vision of Shepard is so specific to my character, I don't even like watching videos on Youtube with someone else's. It just feels...wrong. Even if I could get over the looks, the personality would be hard to pin down. If the movie Shepard was too much of a Paragon, I'd be equally put off. I definitely agree that First Contact would make a better setting.

I don't think Matthew Fox would be bad, but I think many people are picking him as their favorite to be Shepard simply because he played "Shephard" for several years on Lost.

Also, in a Mass Effect movie, Brandon Keener MUST be Garrus and Ash Sroka MUST be Tali. Their voices are so recognizable to the characters that anyone else doing them would be a travesty. And there's no reason anyone else should play them, since they will be CGIed/fully costumed anyway, so you don't need famous actors.

Ah yes, exactly this. If they make a movie (and I don't see this yet happening) please, something original and without Shepard!

Maybe set it in the time frame of teh first contact war or something, but no Shepard. It can only be dissapointing to ALL of us...and we had enough of this recently, didn't we?

But if they do it, please no male-she(e)p, 'tis would be boring as hell...but then, a femshep without Jennifer Hale's voice?...a, screw it...Shepard on the big screen doesn't work!

I also think the Illusive Man and Anderson should be played by Martin Sheen and Keith David. They are a little older than their game counterparts, but I can't see any other voices attached to those roles!

I agree she does the badass action very well but I'd like to see if she can actually "act".  I don't mean that as a slight to her, but the movie itself had so little dialogue and "acting" scenes that there just isn't enough to draw a conclusion about Gina Carano.

How about just getting the VAs that are actually actorrs (Anderson, Hackett, EDI, Joker, etc...) to reprise their game roles in the movie.

I don't know, she doesen't look at all like Ashley and I don't know at all about how she could pull off that determined soldier character. Wilde seems a bit too pretty. Plus that she's got a way smaller mouth than Ashley. As a matter of fact, ME1 Ashleys appearance gave me a latino-ish vibe.
