I had someone last night, though he was a good player, he never used a Vanguard and thought I was in trouble handling a Brute. He had two bars left with a couple cannibals closing in, obviously the situation was under control and shouted, "I am gonna throw a rocket in there to save you!" Before I could tell him no, BAM. It didn't make me mad, it's his rocket. I just wish he would have saved himself the trouble. Three more seconds and everything excluding myself in that room would have been dead. On Silver too by the way.

its one thing to waste a missile, its another for me to waste my effort on an enemy you were just going to missile.

if i see a guy rocketing a half dead atlas, and another atlas shows up, im not attacking it.

If it's on Gold and we'll need missiles for later rounds, then yes.. I get annoyed. On Bronze.. hey it's their missile.

I only use them when the team is about to get wiped on a hacking circle, very rarely to save someone from a Banshee instakill, or at the end of a level when we need them to exfil.

Not really, however I rage at myself when I MISS when I use the missile.

IMO it's situationally acceptable in gold to use them before wave 10, but I just rage when I see someone waste their missiles in the more casual modes like that. Does anyone just rage and ask themselves "WHY!?" when they see someone else do this?

I find it annoying because when we need them to use missles on wave ten to get the credits... surprise, surprise, they don't have any and I just wasted 30 mins of my life.

YES!!! get hit while you fire....missile doesnt go off...but you lose it!!

or missile fired is a dud!!

I've done that, lol. Oh, what's worst is when I have a sexy shot lined on double primes who are swarmed w/pyro's and.. and... I hit a stealthed hunter that was way in front and do no damage to the primes and pyros. DAMN! haha.

Couldn't agree more. Or the egotist purist who won't attempt to use their own medigel even though they are on the other side of the map going Rambo while not using their resources IE other mates, missiles or the notion of winning as a whole is the goal.

I played on gold and someone used a missile on wave 1, on the first guys that spawned and were pretty far from us, no real danger, and nothing really that special...

Exactly. It's THEIR missiles. So who cares if they use them, especially in Silver/Bronze. Now I agree with you that misuse of missiles in a Gold match is unacceptable. However, I don't 'rage' if they use them. If we don't make it to an extraction, then I've still earned more credits than I would on Bronze and probably even Silver.

Not really, it's a tactial decision that people make. There are times when I have seen somthing that my team didn't and realized that I had to use a missile to releave some of the pressure on them only to get told to save them for the last 2-3 rounds. The question that everyone should ask is do I use one missile on wave 6 so we can get to wave 11 or do I let us all die right here and now?

I've been in a few matches were our tactics were sound but the spawns were bad for us and we were getting overwhelmed. My use of the missile at that point took the pressue off of us, gave everyone a few seconds to catch their breath, and restock on clips if they needed to.

I would highly recommend that everyone look at how the situation was before the missile and after it. If it helpped the whole team then don't worry about it, if it was a wasted shot then be a bit upset but don't go after the guy because of it. If the person is just wasting every shot then kick him out after the round, don't belittle him\\her durring the match, we all have to work as a team to win.

The person could've used it at a serious wave, like 8-10!

I do the exact same thing.

I personally never use a missle before extractions on Gold or Silver unless there are dire circumstances involving teammates needing rescue quickly.

I make an exception for Banshees , because I bloody hate them and their screech.
