Oooooh yes, and I'd love to see some more "intimate" type emails from Kaidan. I mean seriously, Garrus sends you some pretty naughty emails to the datapad lol. I'd really at least like to see some more personal emails about their relationship sent to the datapad.
Yeah, that's the strange bit, the datapad e-mails are exactly the kind of thing that you should see (for all squaddies). They don't work well on the datapad since the messages from different playthroughs linger, plus they're dated for the real date rather than ME date, plus obviously it's a separate app and everyone does not have it…

Someone over on the General board (sigh ) mentioned that the gift system could be expanded, too, which might be a good idea…just have to ensure it doesn't get cheesy.
Hey hey now chin up none of that sighin here!! You got another convert to come over to the character board LOL.
I whole heartedly agree with the OP's ideas and being the aformentioned person who suggested things like the DA:O gift system I also wholeheartedly agree that they would have to make it definitely NOT cheesy like it could be in DA:O like when you couuld just spend a few gold and spam gifts at someone to magically make them like you haha
I regret not having looked at these boards before, I approve of this thread and its discussions lolz^_^

Hehe, it's just comical, the Genral and Story forums are full of posts that'd do better here.

Yeah, I think the gifting (aside from the already scripted VS one) can be after the relationship is confirmed/reaffirmed… I'm also pretty sure that it wouldn't require any new VA, every character must already have at least one “thank you!” line recorded.
Excellent! The character threads are often quite good, too.I regret not having looked at these boards before, I approve of this thread and its discussions lolz^_^

If someone doesn't know what we're talking about, by the way, the Datapad app for iOS has a ‘mail’ feature, roughly tied to game events when you're signed on through Origin. For example, there's a garbled e-mail from Tali written when she was drinking in the lounge, and then one the next day wondering how she got so smashed that even her spell checker software failed. That type of stuff.
Those little touches would have been wonderful in the game.
It would be dead easy to put those in the game and it would a nice little touch.

Yeah, the LotSB problem persists for many. I fortunately noticed it in Gibbed and ticked the box… there's so many ways that the ball was dropped in ME3. Even in ME2 they had the ability to invite your LI up to the cabin after the suicide mission.

As for the other ME2 romances, they need much more than what was in-game, mor econversations (perhaps over the communications thing in the war room) and emails.
And I think a few dates should be in there to. Take your LI to a resturant or bar depending on who it is (bar for Jack resturant for Miranda etc) and just talk with them about everyday stuff on the first date and over the next few ones move into talks about the future and what your plans together will be, and maybe even a proposal option as well.
But Im a hopeless romantic, so just my opinion. What do you think?

I'd also buy her all sorts of other casual cloths, a workout outfit so we could do some friendly sparing would be nice, not to mention the Steamyness of sparing with Samara ohhh I may just have a heart attack.
It would be so cool to see and get Samara in an outfit other than her Justicar battle armor. I'd also so love to have her in my cabin, ya know that would go a long way to making ME3 enjoyable for me.

Frankly most of the ME2 romances got shafted, Grrrr.
My own suggestion? Simple - DON'T KILL MY LI OFF!!!!!!

Hmm that would be quite romantic, but I see it more like Shepard and Samara are looking out the window of Starboard Observation. Shepard has his (or in my case her =) ) arm around Samara, and her head is resting on Shepard's chest. Also Samara is subtly crying tears of joy with THIS theme playing in the background.undyinghunter wrote...
OK, yes a Samara ending would be nice Jessica1995, and I had figured that your LI would move into your cabin before the game came out so that would be nice to have them there when they arent working. And for the Drunk Tali scene, I really wish that that scene was more cinematic and ended with Shepard carrying her up to their cabin (If in a Tali romance) and have her talking all suggestive like and when he finally lays her on the bed she falls asleep. But thats just me.

I see it more emotional before it gets "physical" although a scene wouldn't hurt =) Just make it beautiful...like Liara's...but better...and not with Liara

I've always really liked the notion of a Samara romance. For a Shepard that's also consumed with duty, she's a perfect match. You're right that it should mostly be emotional, though - I don't think a full Liara-style scene would be appropriate for the more restrained and self-possessed Samara, however. I wouldn't want to see her with her (metaphorical) hair completely down, but certainly we should see the beginning of such a scene. It'd be nice to see another character 'embrace eternity', but an Asari near the end of her Matron stage (Which we know she's several centuries into) would behave in a very different manner to the 'young' and sexually inexperienced Maiden Liara, I think. Remember that Samara's armour is not just physical, but also emotional - she's a widow who's already had a family and seen most of them die, killing her own daughter herself, and has been on her own for centuries, whereas Shepard is Liara's first partner, and has been with her through almost all her trauma, which has been for only three years compared with Samara's 400.

This would probably need some work though:
What about LI trying to console Shep after what happened at Thesia? Just a plain comforting hug would be nice I supposed :'( If Anderson and Joker can worry about Shep, then why not her/his LI? Just a thought..
I like this. Although it should be something a bit different for Liara. I mean, Liara comforting Shepard about what happened on her homeworld seems kind of backwards. Maybe just an expansion of the scene where Shepard talks to Liara about it.

An expansion that involves hugging. A not unrealistic reaction...

Jessica, you bring tears of joy to my eyes with this,
@Versidious, I think I read that the Matriach stage on average starts at around 700 years, and Samara is roughly 800 years. SO she's likely in her Matriarch years, she tells Shep in ME2 "And I have a few hunderd years left to my life"
Ohh also I remember something Miranda told Shep in ME2 "With all my genetic modifactions I'll likely live twice as long as the average human. I have no doubts that your own modifactions will extend your life span further than mine""
Or something to that effect, so Given My Shepard and Samara have both been Warriors much of their life, and seen and experinced more hell, they were ment for each other. On the Upside to given Miri's quote Shep and Samara would likely end up dying around the same time.
As oppossed to Liara who would live far longer than Shep. OR Kiadan, Ashley, Jack, Kelly, Samantha, Steve, who'd not live as long as Shepard.
I'm not sure about the Turian's average life span in fact I don't think it's ever been said has it? But anyway I'm tottally biased on this all. Samara and Shepard could live a great life together, and grow old and die together.
What can I say I'm a bit of a softy, and tend to be well more openly romantic with things than most dudes. "Blah saying sh!!t like that or thinking like that, makes me look un-manly"

It just fits so well! And having Samara subtly crying on shepard chest is perfect for her, she finally found someone to be with or rather someone found her. To show her that happiness and love can still be found.
I don't know why, but I just see her crying like that with her eyes cloesd and her showing a real smile.
The best we got from her was this smile

and that....is a true smile =D
I see this fitting her very well
