The new patch does not appear to import my characters faces as promise. Anyone else noticing this problem? I thought this was supposed to fix this and it took a month long. Whats going on here?

Is your face a gibbed or modded face? That might be it. I changed my chicks hair in ME2 and then I imported into ME3 is imported her ME1 version again.

All it apparently does is remove the error message. The imported character still looks WAY off - wrong hair, hair color, eye color, face structure, etc.
WTF happened to Bioware? Such a great company a few years ago.

I never had a problem importing the game, just the faces. Wow, just wow. No, I didn't modify anything ever.

my shepard got the same ugly face he got before the patch so no, the patch doesn't fix it for me...
the yaml method got me a perfect shepard and i wanted to try to see how similar it was to the one that the patch was supposed to give me

mine always look basically the same, like I said just the ME2 hair didn't transfer. Hmmm, sucky. Hope they can help with that.

Haven't got the new patch yet, but I'm not surprised it doesn't work properly.
For one of my imports I used a preset face, so I went back to ME1 and took pictures of the sliders and tried to recreate him. It was a resemblance, but an extremely bad one. It seems that rather than taking the character creation for the last two games and improving on it, they've changed it quite a bit, so it doesn't import the face but rather "translates" it into the ME3 character creation.

Yup, looks NOTHING like my shepard. EXACTLY as I predicted. They made NO CHANGES to the existing face creator & just ballparked it with existing content & removed error message.
THIS IS NOT A FIX!!!!
Honestly, how is it even possible to make appearances look WORSE in a followup title thats released years later???
Uploading picks soon

Why do people just adjust the code after it's imported....You can do that.

I started ME3 with a new face and it looks like my femshep will get a new face as well. I'll play ME3, but I am very disappointed to hold out for a month for nothing.

I don't get your problem. I have many Sheps and all of them import the way they should.

Seems some people reporting success and others not. Okay, did removing the scars change the game for me? Should I have kept the scars?
Why are some people reporting success and others total failure?

I was afraid that would be the case after reading the patch notes.

FWIW, I just tried to import a couple of my Shepards that started in ME1 and they imported properly.

My FemShep's face imported with slightly different brow color (black instead of dark brown) and...well...no purple eyes. I don't understand how they could've forgotten.

This passed QA certification? They did not test this with multiple features and multiple ME 1 and ME2 characters? Really? I got two Shepards from 1 through 2 and both can not import directly into the game.
