Please say there will be a DA 2 or some expansion that allow us to play our favorite char? Make the commitment?

I'd love to hear that game is doing well and publishers are happy and will support xpack/sequel for it.

I'm on my 3rd run already with the same char.. I love him, his personality, ethics, combat power and abilities. But I'm not recreating for the 4th run, specially because it erases all screenshots from previous runs.. hehe Not only that, of course.

I will have many more runs with different chars but a full expansion like SoU/HotU or a full sequel that might let me play my char to epic levels... I would love those. Not simply short DLC's but full disk stuff too. And it doens't matter if it will take a few years for that, as long as we know it is coming, I guess.

Of course there will, they know its a great game, DA is like testing the water (and making money) next time they will have mp!

There will be expansions along the way, don't worry.

Well, they did announce they had a 2 year plan of DLC's (and possibly expansions?) within the one month of release, so at least something is being made.

They spent 5 years developing the IP. They are not going to abandon it.

However, that is no guarantee you'll get to play the same character. I suspect any new game in the franchise will take place somewhere else in Thedas and feature entirely new characters - including the PC.

But we might see an expansion at some point. That's probably your best bet.

I also hope they do an expansion, but I also hope.. it isn't 2yrs down the line or so

I imagine several expansions, DLCs and maybe even good user content.

I thought it was a one year plan.  2 years?  Even better!  As long as it's not all these cheesey little DLC's.
