Tali - I'm like the only person in the world who can't stand the Quarian race let alone Tali, all she does is complain and try to act all innocent when talking Shepard into helping her, and the Quarians are a bunch of egotistical faries who can't win a war against something they created, thats like Humans losing a war to an army of toasters.

Kaidan - Do I need to explain this one? Takes everything too seriously and makes every conversation seem really awkward, definately doesn't deserve spectre status!

Udina - Udina was a cynical ****, a fascist turian could run the human embassy better than he could. 'nuff said.

I've left out Star Child because he is obviously the worst character created in human history (over-exaggeration?)

1 Diana Allers (Where is my miss Wong? Badly written, badly voiced, looks like a... I dunno. In my opinion the most useless addiction to Shep's crew ever and a character who got a good place for a eventual, future, dlc character. Not on my ship, ever. They were mostly trying to buy ING, whatever...)

2 Star Child (Have I to explain this one? Probably the worse 'final boss' I ever heard about, even worse than trivia in FFIX (And, at least, FFIX gave you a great ending). I just... can't talk about it, My Shep always ends killed by Maradeur Shields so... I don't even know who he is anymore.)

3 Ashley Williams (Loved her in the first mass effect, I don't like her look in ME3 and... no, just no. My shep loves needs no allies who keep remembering her she's been with cerberus and, wooo, you're all monster now, who knows if you're still the same person- while Garrus and Tali already completely accepted you as your 'old friend')

Just a suggestion for future threads like this - it would be useful to clarify whether people are listing their LEAST FAVOURITE characters, or who they consider to be the WORST (ie badly written/acted/portrayed) characters.

Same with the difference between BEST and FAVOURITE characters. The two do not go hand in hand a lot of the time.

you could of avoided the miranda situation if you had high enough renegade/paragon.
and ashley you could of killled her in ME1

I chose not to replay 2 as I wanted my experience to lead into 3, as such I stuck with every decision I made. Unfortunately the chance to have Miranda on side never happened as a result of this decision. As for Ashley I am a PS3 player so ME1 was never an option, I may have been able to save her in the comic or not but at that point I had no idea about her.

1.- Catalyst. I don't think I have to explain why. Intrusive little SOB, ruining the story for everyone. Worst part is, if they had allowed us to argue with his dumb logic based on Shepard's experience, I doubt people would hate him this much.
2.- Not-Carth Alenko. He was Carth Onasi but not nearly as cool as Carth Onasi.
3.- Jacob Taylor. He managed to be even more boring than Not-Carth Alenko. And I swear I thought that wasn't even possible!

Jacob Taylor

I didn't like Jacob because he's pretty much useless and he's too up tight. As a squad member his biotics are mediocre and he's limited to handguns and shotguns. There are far more useful characters with biotics who have better weapons selections, and even if they didn't, they are still better biotics. I found his on-mission dialog to be the most annoying in the game. If a FemShep romanced him you find out he's a cheating bastard. So he's not even nearly as much of a good guy as he seems to think he is.

Even if you didn't, the bastard offers to buy drinks and never does. Shepard has had drinks with Joker, EDI, Jack, Vega, Morinth, and more. In ME3 overall he's even more useless than before. And of course his needs are placed above the galaxies and yours. About all I use him for is escorting the crew of the Normandy back to the ship in ME2. When I go to Omega, the first thing I do is recruit Zaeed at the end of the hall, turn around and click on the air lock and hit "request new squad member."

Donnel Udina

This guy is just slime. Something about him has always bothered me. Probably because he's a typical scumbag politician. I wanted to shoot him in Mass Effect 1.

Khalisah al-Jilani

She's just annoying. She comes across as a tabloid journalist and I just never have liked that type of person.

To be fair I think you are supposed to hate the last two, but not the first one.

Starchild and Kai Leng are terrible, but I consider them plot points, not characters.

Diana Allers - Why u not emily wong
Vega - Y U not replaced by krogan squadmate?
Jacob - who likes Jacob?

I didn't particular care for Jacob, but I liked him fair enough.

My list goes like this:

1. Starchild
2. Diana Allers for the same reason as Senario
3. Vega but only because he replaces a krogan squadmate. His character was okay. Not great, just okay.

More than three, but blah:

1. STARCHILD (Single-handedly killed the series for many people. Even without that the voice acting was bad and the character made no sense and came completely out of left field. Kids in games are generally annoying, but using a kid to represent the main enemy you've spent years fighting against and then force your character to sympathize with it? Ugh.)

2. Kaiden \\ Ashley Post ME1 (I liked them both in ME1, but afterwards they had WAYY too big of a chip on their shoulder. REALLY annoying. Not to mention their dialog (And Shep's) seemed more "romantic" than neutral in ME3 no matter what options you choose or what sex you are, and I REALLY hated that.)

3. James (I quickly figured out he was a plot device to explain stuff to new players of the series, and I quickly hated him for it. Voice acting was good, but character and his writing was bland and I kept getting the feeling he was hitting on BOTH my maleshep and femshep. A pet name? Loco? James, you weirdo...)

4. Allers (Voice acting was HORRIBLE and she looked like snookie. I didn't even realize she was voiced by Jessica Chobot, whom I actually like for her IGN previews on XBL, but MAN that was some BAD voice acting.)
