This is tough...I hate many of the characters....

hmmmm....

1. The Catalyst. (How dare Bioware introduce an omnipotent Child zombie AI hologram character 2 minutes from the ending. One of the worst things in writing....)

2. Ashley or Kaiden. Both are annoying and fail to trust Shepard when he is working for Cerberus to stop the Collectors. They are too damn whiny and obsessed with the Alliance.  Ashley also bashes Liara.   Nobody messes with Shepard's blueberry!!!

3. Kei Leng. Seriously....why put a stereotypical asian ninja into the story who uses a traditional blade when he could use an omni-blade. He is also too narcissistic for an indoctrinated being....

and sorry....I can't call this list complete without another complete waste of disc space....

Jessica Chobot.   Thats right.....she basically played herself in ME3.  She was only on the Normandy to lick Shepard's.....um....

regardless she can do that elsewhere.  GTFO my ship Allers!!!!!

1. catalyst

just doesn't fit within the universe that has been established

2. Jacob

He could have died on the suicide mission and I honestly wouldn't have noticed

3.Allers

Regardless of the voice acting I just don't see the point in this character, the potentially interesting dynamic of having a reporter on the ship just seems utterly wasted

1. The boy.
I was already sick of him after the first dream sequence. The ending fan video which skips over the Guardian scene entirely (having Shepard and Anderson bleed out on the citadel as the crucible charges and fires) I found more enjoyable. Insanely more enjoyable for something so simple as deleting one briefly-appearing character.

2. Diana Allers
Thanks guys, for this and for EDI's body. I'm glad you also fixed the problem of Ashley's boobs being way too small and Miranda not having enough butt-shots on camera. Ugh, but the gall of these drooling peasants who wish that you artistic visionaries had wasted your time with stupid crap like modelling a face for Tali. [sarcasm module overheat! shutting down]

3. Kei Leng
First impression, right impression: a boss fight waiting to happen. It's even in his dialogue with TIM, aching to drop everything right then to have a showdown with someone.

Edit: an extremely close 4th: Saren Arterius
Illogic.  Arguing that reaper victory is inevitable, yet also hinging on his wilingness to cooperate.

MIRANDA - she had the exact same plot and mission as she did in ME2 and her complaints about her being bred 'perfect' rang hollow entirely.

JACOB - while loyalty mission was well done, his overall story was identical to the 'soldier' one you hear all the time. Plus he had no depth really and didn't seem to really be a part of the plot in ME3 at all.

ZAEED- another generic soldier, only this one had nothing interesting to say really that wasn't already said better by a Renegade Shepard.

As far as NPC's go:
ANDERSON - Sorry, but though I enjoyed the voice acting, his plot and story was never fleshed out until the last few minutes of the trilogy, too late for it to have any meaningful impact on me or Shepard.

KOLYAT - I wasn't ever convinced of his 'I hate dad, but will follow in his footsteps anyway' routine. Most rebelling kids do the OPPOSITE of what their parents did just to ****** them off.

HARBINGER - only because he was never seen or heard from again after ME2 despite there being a line of dialog in one of the trailers where he states "shepard, you have escaped us twice before, but not again. your world will burn, and you along with it." Great hope that we'd be talking directly to him like we did Sovereign, but alas, not a damn ****ing peep from him all game.

Jacob - Despite many characters going out of their way to say how nice he is, I could barely get a conversation going with the guy. It's too bad, because his voice acting was still well done

Diana Allers - I don't care that she was voiced by a game celebrity. I don't like her because she has no interesting traits, and Jessica didn't exactly put an A effort into her voice. Also, she's a military reporter, on a military ship, and she walks around in heels and a revealing dress? It's called professionalism, Diana

Illusive Man - I love to hate him. He was the perfect villain.

ive disliked jack ever since i saw mention of her in these forums. i just felt like she was stolen from a comic book stereotype. (it turned out samara actually was the comic book character.) but that was ME2 jack. ME3 jack is pretty awesome. im almost mad that im stuck with ash, who ive been loyal too since ME1. id rather have jack. shes hot too. atleast in my head i picture her as a fit looking natalie portman, and you cant go wrong with that.

thats the only character i ever felt ill will towards.

also, the catalyst.

1. Kaidan - if I had an option to kill 2 people on Virmire, I would have taken it
2. Grunt - he's just a "fake" character with no real back story. he exists as you find him and is such a let-down after Wrex.
3. Miranda - again, "fake". completely artificial appearance and unwarranted arrogance.

I think if we define "worst" as "worst written/least interesting."

1. Star Kid- He's so bad, he drags down the series.
2. Kai-Leng- Just a terrible, terrible villain. His "plans" always seemed silly. His banter is terrible. If you compare him to every other villain in the game (Illusive man, Shadow Broker, Saren, Benezia, Aria, etc) he is the least interesting and least provocative. When I killed him, I didn't want to say "This is for Kirrahe or Thane." I wanted to say "This is so I don't have to hear your terrible, terrible cliche-ridden dialogue anymore."
3. Diana Allers- I don't want to join the Jessica Chobot bashing. She realizes her voice acting is so-so. I give her credit for trying. But, she has the least interesting romance option of all the LI. It's not passionate. Compared to say, Miranda's complexity or Tali's nervousness, her romance arc is just bland. This one is as much on the writers as the voice acting. Bioware could have written a space Lois Lane. (Emily Wong would have worked better for this ) Instead, you gave the character the personality of a stenographer.

1 Starchild or Guardian or whatever the name is for the little annoying kid at the end. I don't even have to explain why this one is the worst character.
2 Jacob, he just had nothing really interesting to say compared to the other characters in the games. But still a more interesting character than most characters in most games, like Gears of War. Who could think any of the characters in that game series is interesting.
3 Allers, they made her a model but not Tali.... :S I have nothing against her apperance in the game, but I would not miss her character at all if it meant I could get a real modeled face for Tali.
