After today's patch, Javik (well, a black outline resembling him) has shown up in my squad list. He isn't selectable, it's just a silhouette of him in black. Also, Liara now has dialog talking about him when I go to talk to her. Finally, Javik's room has been unlocked and appears to be similar to what I've seen of his room in Youtube videos.
I've never had Javik installed, haven't purchased the DLC (yet, waiting for the extended cut), and haven't done the Coalesced.ini edit. What's up? Is my only solution just to buy the DLC?

Also, I used gibbed to fix the Liara LotSB dialog bug, if that's relevant at all.
