It's stupid how Bioware could fix this with a large paid DLC if they all sit down, put together all of the best fan responses to the problems: Tali's face, the endings, plot holes.. work out new plot lines and new dialogue from the fan responses and then give the fans an option to see what they are planning to do and work with them to decide what changes WE want made.
Instead they hide behind their "artistic integrity".

Tali is an example of Bioware's laziness, to implement a character which a lot of people has loved. Enough said.

The irony of James Hetfield in an ME3 thread is not lost on me.  :P

Just model her face in-game in a future DLC. It should do the trick.

Also, I like the photo. Pretty much what I expected her to look like from the information we get about Quarians appearance.

It almost seemed to me like the scene on Rannoch where she takes off her mask was cut...

I thought this to.
I think it would have been great if you were romancing Tali to see her face there. Shame that Bioware didn't put the effort into Tali's face.

Until the Quarians have no reason to wear their sanitation suits I don't care about what is underneath the mask.

“The Art of Mass Effect Universe”, concept art book.

But, like I said, I'd have been OK* with it if they had actually done a proper model, and a good reveal on Rannoch. Or if they wanted it semi-mysterious, I thought a reflection on the inside of the visor when removed would have been nice.

* OK, I would have complained. But let's stipulate that since they decided that's the face and apparently it ISN'T an inside joke picture that Tali photoshopped, they should have modeled it. If they do, for the Extended Cut, I'm OK with that.

** Everyone always suggests using Ash's image…anyone ever consider maybe she declined?

They created two (or three, depending on your POV) new characters for DLC, so I don't think Tali getting a full face model in the future is out of the question.

It would be really cool if they did a poll type thing like they did for FemShep. Make the most amount of people happy with the outcome.

Yes, please. We now know how Tali looks, there's no point in hiding her behind her helmet.

Give us a game model!

They stole a picture, did a few minutes of edits on it. Then they lied about looking at thousands of pictures for the one to steal.

The thing is not even about the stock picture, the girl in the photo is hot, so all is good. The thing is about how they botched her hand and didnt even try to make a quality photoshop. that is the most disturbing thing. It just shows the overall laziness and complete dismissal of many many fans who wanted to see Talis face.

Bungie was rushed with halo 2 and you know what? People loved it even though bungie admitted they were rushed. If bioware just admitted it, Fans probably wouldn't be as mad.

I don't believe they ran out of time, if all they were going for was a picture on a desk, I've seen fantastic fan arts with original design made from scratch that took 2 and a half hours. If ran out of time is correct, they couldn't spend 2 and a half hours on a major character's face that a lot of fans been wanting to see since the first game???

I understand that they wanted to use a real facial model to do justice to the character, but for a still image they could have just paid one of the amazing fan-artists who post on deviantART for rights to use their work in the game. The photo of Tali makes no sense in any context. main things that bug me about it:

Who took the photo? (do Omni Tools have Instagram software?)
When was it taken?
Where was it taken?

I got a real chuckle out of that.

If they use stock art, they should have looked at the more believable stuff on DeviantArt an actually rendered her face like people expected instead of copping out with a stupid photo.

Even if it didn't turn out how I wanted her to look like. If they put effort into it then I would of at least respected them.

I love how Bioware defends this horrible photoshop as "Artistic Integrity!" On BSN it seems like no one really wants to respond to ANY of our concerns either! Did EA just tighten the lease around ME3 responses?!

It really wouldn't be THAT difficult to patch in the REAL Tali, either via a 30 second reveal on Rannoch or a proper photo in the cabin!

But wait, this is Bioware who needs another couple months in order to patch in a few extra cutscenes for the ending - You can polish a turd all you want, it's still a turd!

I'll wait and see what happens in extended cut, it just might be absolutely amazing and fix the ending and tali's face in one fell swoop.

To be fair, the desktop wallpaper used for stargazer was heavily modified. Trees and tree positions are no the same. The planet isnt exactly the same. Position of smaller planet is modified. It isnt exact at all. It looks like actual effort was put in it, with the desktop just being inspiration.

Tali's photo however was obviously a quick photoshop job.

The problem isn't that Bioware edited a stock photo. This is common practice for artists and designers to save time. The problem is that the resulting edit is bad. In fact, it's bad enough that it looks like something one of the artists spit out as a rough draft that some higher up said, "Perfect!" to while the artist tried vainly to explain that it was only a crude rendering meant to give a general impression of what the final image might look like. Or at least that's what I hope.

It's not really the photo itself i have a problem with, it's alright. Yeah, it makes no sense for Tali to remove her entire suit on a foreign planet and the fingers are all wrong, but it's the LACK OF EFFORT i have a problem with! They took one of the most popular and mysterious characters in the series and just did a quick (bad) photoshop for her face and for the face of all Quarians! THIS is what Quarians looks like: Lense flared humans with glowing eyes!

Bull****!

What also disturbs me is that bioware doesnt even seem to acknowledge that this is a problem. They are obviously trolling no way they can be that dense
