If people liked it despite the problems and plot holes, I'd simply raise a brow and shrug it off.  The fact though that there are people who insist they don't exist her though?  That's what I really have to wonder about.  When asked they usually give speculative based answers that just reinforce it fitting under the plot hole definition :/

Aye. There ARE good parts about the ending and I can understand when people liked it, and I can also understand that they don't give a **** about plot holes and inconsistencies. They played a game for ****s sake.
But when factual deficiencies pointed out are disclaimed - and usually that is followed by "You just don't understand the ending and need spelling out. Wait for DLC." - I must wonder, whether some people have a) bothered to read, what you posted, actually played the game and c) can differ between "liking" and factual criticism.

I just watched and was spoiled, but I'm at least prepared. Having watched though, yeah. That made no sense and it gets worse trying to make sense of it looking at it strictly what's in front of you.

I did enjoy watching Shepard shoot Holo-Kid though! He was pissed for some reason. lol I really enjoyed (Fem)Shep's dive!

However, looking at it from a couple different angles:

1) Set Pieces

Seems to me that beams of light was what they were going for.

The Reapers when priming of course. Whether they shot at bystandards or Shepard

Hades Cannons. Took down a ship and messed you up during fights on Earth sometimes until you dealt with it

The Cure Dispersal. Not a beam per se, but we know how firecrackers work.

The ending.

The dialogue. Granted, the only line I recall is from the Asari Councilor paraphrasing a Madonna song despite the noun being different)

2) Irony

Who told TIM to stuff it because he wanted to control the Reapers? Wasn't that not one of the ending options?

The Synthetic option it's essentially the Geth/Quarian debate on a larger scale (Kill one to perserve the other - of course, this could go for the other races at war, too)

Destroy - though you die, too. However, TIM didn't have to bring you back to begin with if only to jerk you around!

It sounds like I contradicted the very first statement, but I didn't. Many of us were so focused on "How our choices affected the story" didn't stop to think that there's a possibility that we wouldn't have one. Not making a choice is as dangerous if not more dangerous than making the reasonable one regarding POV

And notice the hypotheses: Indoctrination (TIM/Shepard) or Space Magic (Holo Kid). Neither seems to be liked. I doubt either would be if either or both made perfect sense. Yet, it was said here that these options were the only way this series could end.

The sub-conscience kid that got beamed which Shepard could do nothing about - then Shepard gets beamed in which a child decided his/her fate.

Btw, if it wasn't noticed, I would think seeing a child burn three times would evoke the thought of foreshadowing as well. (This is also related to irony)

Possibly one of the best literary devices - IMO deemed the worst in some mediums - mainly because it's not the good kind.

They could do worse! Wouldn't that be something if they did?

I'm not pro or anti-ending, but given the different view, I see how it does work - because on some level it does work. I'm not even upset regarding her fate; however, I am looking at the ending in relation to what came before it and to me it makes sense.

Not what I would have wanted, but it's what I got.

I don't believe that is  a leaked script.  It reads like someone's attempt at a humorous insult.  Everytime Liara says "if you lived a 1000 years like we asari do" or however it was worded imagine she is talking to you not Joker and you will see what I mean.

If it isent the leak, why would he put the link in the description then though?

wow it's fake it's meant to be taken as a joke.....but that said Bioware isn't going to change the ending they've done said so.

This was a really nice video. I like how was was calm, and precise about the whole thing. I'll definitely be looking for more of his videos, and he's right. Bioware needs to retcon this ending.

Yeah, this guy is right on the money. His last video which was 30 plus minutes long was perfect too. I'm sure someone on the Mass Effect team has seen them. Others probably don't want to. It's not a bad idea for them to take a look. He's makes a really good point.

I'm not a hater, in fact, I love Bioware. Just like the guy who made the video, I loved 99% of ME3. Nothing will change how I feel about the ending. I appreciate that they're trying to help with closure, but there's going to be a big need for some magic to make it a worthy conclusion to probably the best gaming trilogy out there.

I wish the whole Bioware company well. I just hope things progress for the better in the future. I hope to hear from MrBtongue again this summer.
