He makes a lot of good points. The only thing I would disagree with is the "nobody won" part. I'm pretty sure that when your game that costs 60 to 80 dollars sells several million copies in the first month you win.
Something of a Pyrrhic victory.

A temporary victory at best. The fans won't forget about this if BioWare ignores them again or botches up with this DLC (which they likely will considering the crap ending apparently won't be changed, we'll just get extended clarified crap) and future sales will suffer from this.
At the very least we'll see a big decrease in pre orders for future BioWare games, though part of that may also be because of DA2. My trust in BioWare certainly took a hit big enough to never pre order from them again.

Reminds me of people who are raging about nerds, ignoring that everything from their hair dryer to their iPhone is a result of nerds inventing things, making every citizens life more comfortable - while they were too busy fu.cking Mary Jane in the bushes behind the school, thinking:
"One day I'll become the bully leader of the nerds anyway, destroying their work just because I can, so why care about inventions at all?"
Then that horrible, awful grin while whispering in that girls ear:
"Butt in the air, MJ - Daddy's going upstairs."
And I'll bet my left ball the same douchebag was at the stockholder meeting where they proposed to charge people 1$ to reload their gun in the game.

Adding to this:
Losing fans = less people buying DLC if it comes out. So they could of double or tripled profits if they didn't screw up, not including multiplayer.
Less trust = Less people likely to buy from Bioware. This can hit hard. DA3 wouldn't be as eagerly sought after and people waiting before buying it... or not even buying it at all.
So... while they may of gotten a single payoff now... They failed to acheive how they could of double their profits for months to come.

This completely. I don't think Bioware completely appreciates the damage it has caused itself with this debacle. I know some friends and acquaintances who have completely abandoned the ME series and even Bioware entirely after this. Heck, one even went so far as to throw all three of his copies of the ME series into the trash. That should paint the picture quite nicely of how disappointed he was and as I said it's not just him. I've been watching this industry as a consumer for a LONG time. I've seen this kind of thing before. The moment you screw up customer loyalty and trust you're in for a rude awakening. Can they recover from this? Probably, but people are less likely to blindly buy anything with a "Bioware" label on it. It all depends on how they handle the extended cut DLC, but some fans have already written Bioware off and I personally cannot blame them.

Another youtube video? Are you people really so insecure that you need to continue posting these things in some inane attempt to reinforce your opinions?
This was posted a month ago, homeslice. Were you purposefully searching for ancient threads in the hope that something would offend you?

True enough. Still, after watching the vid and read the thread whose address is in my mosy recent post I felt that both bring up VERY good points and complement each other.
@ gert56nom
Yeah, shooting the tube and a whole host of other things were just totally absurd.
@Pattonesque
My friend an "ancient" thread would qualify as a thread that is 6 months to a year old. Just saying.

He also has posted an entertaining video on Dragon Age 2, in which he-surprisingly-attempts to list the game's merits.
Here it is if anyone is interested:

The word "necromancy" is adapted from Late Latin necromantia, itself borrowed from post-classical Greek νεκρομαντεία (nekromanteía), a compound of Ancient Greek νεκρός (nekrós), "dead body", and μαντεία (manteía), "prophecy or divination"; this compound form was first used by Origen of Alexandria in the 3rd century CE.[3] The classical Greek term was ἡ νέκυια (nekyia), from the episode of the Odyssey in which Odysseus visits the realm of the dead, νεκυομαντεία in Hellenistic Greek, rendered as necyomantīa in Latin, and as necyomancy in 17th century English.[4]
In medieval Latin and English texts the variant nigromantia, "nigromancy", is found. This form arose when writers of that era replaced the unfamiliar Greek word element necro- with the better-known Latin nigro-, "black".[5] In Renaissance magic, nigromancy (as necromancy was often called during that period due to its presumed association with black magic) was classified foremost among seven "forbidden arts", all of them methods of divination.[6]

Those nerds can't make that stuff up without help. They first have to be stuffed into lockers for some quality "quiet thought time". Thank the guys who stuff them in lockers for that stuff, not the nerds alone. If not for the quality thought time provided, they would all just be really good clarinet players or chess players.
